How to use Mercedes MBUX? A complete guide for MBUX

Share on:

We're going to go through mbux now I have already covered mbux in my previous blog post - 15 Mercedes Benz MBUX Tips and Tricks it was more of a beginner's guide a first, look at what it can do.

This one's the more advanced one so we're going to go through more settings kind of a walk through the whole system and I'll show you all recommended settings for you to get the most out of your Mercedes Benz this one is long but mainly because we're going through all the settings and just bear in mind that the car I'm going to go through is going to have pretty much every option ticked.

There will be some things that won't be on your car compared to this one so if you're not sure to speak to your local Mercedes-Benz they can provide the factory spec sheet or they can just let you know but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

All right guys if this is the first time you're sat in your new Mercedes-Benz it can be a little bit daunting and overwhelming because there are buttons everywhere but there again what do you expect it's a brand new Mercedes it has the latest gadgets and latest tech.

So basically to use the screens you have these two awesome widescreen cockpit displays on the right side of the steering wheel there is a black touchpad that controls this screen on the left side there's another touchpad that controls the left screen

So basically to use the screens you have these two awesome widescreen cockpit displays on the right side of the steering wheel there is a black touchpad that controls this screen on the left side there's another touchpad that controls the left screen

There's a touchpad down here then you can also use it as an actual touch screen like this.

So now we've established a few ways of using the screen let's dive into the sections we'll be covering in this post -

  1. Phone connectivity
  2. Navigation
  3. Radio
  4. Comfort
  5. Info
  6. Settings

1. Phone connectivity

So let's begin with Phone Connectivity MBUX has the capability for connecting a phone but did you know it can also accept two phones so you can connect up a phone via Bluetooth and you can also connect maybe a friend's phone or partner's phone or even a personal one work phone.

But the idea is that both phones are connected at the same time incoming calls are the same for both so if either phone receives an incoming call you quite simply swipe this on the steering wheel here up or down to answer or hang up or send them to voicemail or something.

1.1 How to Connect your Phone with Mercedes MBUX

On the screen to connect a phone you quite simply go to -

  1. Settings on your particular phone then go to Bluetooth
  2. Then on the screen itself you'll quite simply go to connect the device and now the car will find my phone click enter on here and you'll just need to follow all the prompts that come up.

It'll ask are you happy to connect?

Connect to the phone tap pair and then tap allow and within seconds it's done there we go guys so now my phone's all connected you can see I've got phone one and phone two at the top here now if I had a second phone it will come up on the screen and it would look the same as this.

We're going to click on list this is how you access all the calls you've made recently all received or even missed and quite simply the arrow here will open up that particular contact and you'll be able to view all of their information address that kind of things.

touch pade with right and left button

There's a touchpad down here then you can also use it as an actual touch screen like this.

1.2 Mobile contacts

Now next up we have contacts this will load up your entire phone book you can scroll down here and it's a mirrored reflection of what your phone book is on your phone.

So if you add someone in your phone book it will appear on there if you delete someone on here it will delete on there it will just synchronize the next time you get out of the car and get back in again.

The favorites button allows you to add people you call daily so if I scroll down this list here I could add a favorite and you can see it comes up on the screen to delete that favorite.

If you hold your finger on the touchscreen or the touchpad you can then delete that so it's a bit like your phone where you can hold an icon and then they'll all start wiggling around sometimes you can move them around it's very very similar to that.

Now at the very bottom, this will bring up your phone book again it's just another way of searching this one is your traditional keypad to dial a number just like that this one shows you text messages.

If you want text messages to come through to the screen on iPhones you need to go to the Bluetooth menu tap on the i where you see your car connected and turn on the thing called show notifications.

For android users it will have prompted you when you first connected it so this is why I've got this message here at the moment I haven't enabled it yet and also it will only show you unread messages.

1.3 Connected Devices

Next one across shows you the devices that your car has connected to so you can see I've got one device connected at the moment and you can have up to I think it's about 20 devices connected three at the same time but it can store up to 20.

Finally, we have the settings which show you a few things which to be honest you won't need to go into but you can see the following options

  1. Contacts Synchronizing
  2. Change the volume of the phone call but also you can do that on the steering wheel as well when you're on a phone call
  3. Change the ringtone in the car
  4. Message display you can stop the messages from coming in completely

At the very top there's a general button so if we go on to this it's another way of viewing the device manager, name format is quite useful because you can actually change the first name surname preference of how your phone book is displayed and sorted me personally I prefer the first name because that's how I address everyone but I know some people prefer the surname and I think most cars arrive with the surname first.

Anyway, so you can swap that round to the first name if you prefer, and then finally we've got the import contacts and delete contacts now to be honest the only reason why you would go onto here is if you had um an older phone that didn't synchronize the phone book automatically. Most of the time you will just quite literally have your phone book automatically sync so there's never really a reason to go in there.

1.4 Satellite Navigation(satnav)

Now that we've finished on phone let's head over now to navigation also known as the satnav.

So let's go through on the far left here the fuel now depending on what time of the day you are in the car you may also see a knife and fork now this is how clever the MBUX system is you'll see that knife and fork appear when it's either lunch time or dinner time

Underneath that this will show you all of the fuel stations so you can literally scroll down here and quite cleverly the arrow that's on the left there shows you the kind of direction it is based on the way the car is facing.

So it's quite clever as you drive around it'll orientate and also you just simply select the one you want to go to and then you've got the big arrow there to get it to go.

When I put an address in so we'll come back here we have all the car parks so this will show you all the car parks that we have nearby and again it will show you on the map exactly.

Underneath that there is a compass this controls the orientation of the map now I believe it's this might be a german thing so all the cars arrive normally with north up now north up.

Underneath that we have a button this basically allows you to start the sat nav so if we go into here it will ask you where you want to go so we can just literally type in a postcode here for example and you don't need need to put the space in but as you type it in it will search and bring up the suggestions.

2. Navigation

Let's now start the sat nav so we'll go to this big blue arrow just here and click this. By default, it will obviously start talking and I will show you how to turn her off because I know it's some people's preference to mute the sat nav and stop him talking.

So let's get that going. This car has augmented reality and augmented reality is basically a camera at the very top of the windscreen looking ahead all the time and it will digitally render a blue arrow as you can see on the screen telling you exactly which way to go.

Obviously, I have parked my car right now so it won't really make that much sense but it kind of looks a bit like this so as you can see on the screen it will show you a blue arrow telling you exactly where to go when you're driving and it will kind of overlay it over the screen showing you where to go it's really really clever.

Now if you don't like it there is actually a button on the left-hand side you can quite simply tap that to turn it on or off but if you do have it I think it's quite a neat thing to have and If I'm not mistaken it's the only system in the world that has it which is pretty neat.

So swipe anywhere on the touchpad to bring up that menu obviously when you have the sat nav on that menu is going to disappear so it gives you maximum viewing space but this is how you can obviously add another destination.

Now some more advanced things let's go through the advanced menus. So this one here is root settings this basically can give you either a root overview and you know I just mentioned about those waypoints this one will allow you to see your waypoints and you can move them up and down the list so say I had point a, point b and point c

I wanted to Move point c to point b and swap them around you can do that.

2.1 x communication

Report traffic incident is another neat feature this basically allows you to report an actual incident on the road so say you are I don't know navigating down the motorway or something and someone's had to pull over on the side of the road and there's causing a bit of an obstruction or something in the road.

You can report that and send it to all other cars that have the same technology so that's the thing you may have seen before called a car to x communication.

Basically reports incidents on the road a lot quicker than your traditional methods of live traffic but it does go through the same channels so it's quite a neat feature.

That one traffic underneath basically just allows you to turn on the traffic announcements all the area announcements as well. But this car's obviously being brand new doesn't have that switched on yet so be switched on.

So next up we've got the settings menu so going on to the settings bit here we have traffic parking and motorway information so quite simply all this is the overlay on the sat nav so an overlay is basically you've probably seen live traffic before where it's got green lines and orange lines and red lines that's basically what you see on the map so you can turn this off or turn this on.

For car parks all the blue peas everywhere motorway information so if you're driving down a motorway and it will show you all the services kind of a big block of those 15, 20, 30 miles away show you where they are on the screen in advance.

This basically is some more advanced settings so if we go into map orientation you can control the orientation of the map you can also set the zoom level so normally you can zoom in and out on the touchpad which you can do anyway or on the screen but this will allow you to turn on auto-zoom where it will zoom in and out automatically depending on how fast you're going I'd recommend that to be on because obviously if you go a bit faster.

Things like fuel stations you can turn those on and off the range are quite a neat trick this shows you how far you can go with the fuel or the electric you have in your car so remaining fuel or remaining battery capacity to view this you need to go to the map overview and zoom all the way out.

Let's zoom back in and go back to where we were and the only other thing underneath then is the traffic menu so this will show you traffic instance on the map.

Traffic light view now this is by default off so say you don't have the satnav on at all and you're navigating down the road and you come to a set of traffic lights usually, you'll be sitting here and most of the time you can see the traffic lights absolutely fine.

Occasionally sometimes you'll have to kind of look under here and you're trying to look for that traffic light view there just to get an idea and because sometimes they're a bit scattered all over the place and not in the most viewable place you can enable this which will basically show you the traffic light up on the screen here so the camera will zoom out and give you a view so it saves you having to reach down you can quite simply just sit here and look at the traffic light on the screen I think that's quite a neat feature.

3. Radio

Next up is radio now radio is one of the simpler ones so when you go on to radio all the radio stations that you can see are the ones that are available right now and also if you drive around the country and go to different places you'll find that it will tune and change as you drive around.

So basically let's add a few favorites to radio one for example we can add down there on the bottom and then I don't know we could add radio

Along this menu and if you want to change your favorites you can hold your finger on the selected one you can move bump them up and down the list or even delete them and replace them with another favorite or something.

So let's delete these for now but I know there's a lot of favorites there are several pages of them.

After that, we have the mute and unmute and then TA is for turning on the traffic alerts all traffic announcements.

Next up we've got the settings so settings allow you to change a few things like the equalizer so if you're a true audio enthusiast you can go in here and adjust the bass the mid and the treble and you can even adjust the balance and the fader and where the sound focuses now this is adjustable because of the Burmeister or Burmester sound system in this Mercedes car.

For me, I don't listen to the radio that much I listen to music off my phone which brings us on to the next one media.

So media houses a few things it has Bluetooth for connecting your phone wirelessly so don't forget I did say that you can have up to three phones connected so two phones for calls uh in and out of course uh the third one will be the DJ essentially the person who's playing the music.

In this car, there are two here and there's another one here to plug in certain phones you might need to get a dongle.

4. Comfort

So next up on our list is comfort. Not all Mercedes will have this but basically, when you go on to comfort there'll be a few things depending on the specification of your car.

In this car it has a thing called seat comfort which houses seat kinetics so the idea is with seat kinetics say you're doing a long journey you could be driving for a long time and you'll probably move a few times throughout that long journey.

So what seat kinetics does is move bits of the seat so if i switch to the som this bit will move down just a tiny bit and i just felt this bit move here so the idea is it tries to keep the muscles in your back moving as much as possible without causing any distractions while driving or anything so it's designed to kind of stop the muscles from hurting after a long journey.

You can have this on for the driver or passenger and if you go to settings you can change the backrest or the seat surface to change independently or together. Of course, you can choose how long it will do that program.

4.1 Seat Heating

So after this, we have the seat heating balance. Most of the time I would just keep it in the middle but you can obviously control your heated seats on the door so you've got max medium-low and off what this does here is allowing you to control where the heat comes from so you can have it just on your back or on your legs as well by default it's going to do the whole seat but you can adjust this up or down to control where it will do the heat essentially.

There's a reset button to reset all the settings back to zero for the seat

4.2 Ambient Light

After this, we have ambient lighting so ambient lighting is obviously all the awesome colors you see on the inside of the car, and yeah they are stunning I absolutely love this.

Certainly, if there are any kids in the car then they'll love this too but as you move this round you'll see that it will change the color for the ambient lighting my obviously favorite is the blue ones that are the brightest one.

But you can also change the multi-color so you can go over here and do multiple colors you can have red and blue or red and yellow blue and yellow a multi-color animation basically cycles between those two colors every 40 seconds to a minute roughly so if you don't like it doing that you can switch that off.

Welcome, and climate are just a few effects that kind of show off the ambient lighting so little things a bit like if you've got your temperature on you can make the climate control warmer and they'll go red and make it colder and they'll go blue on.

On the previous screen you can control the brightness as well just in case it's a bit too bright you can just take the edge off a bit.

After this, we have energizing comfort so in Mercedes-Benz vehicles it's not just the luxury of all the materials and everything it's your experience behind the wheel so when you're obviously driving you've got the seat kinetics thing to help with any aching muscles or anything this is kind of a program that incorporates everything you feel and touch.

In some cars with an inbuilt air freshener or the air balance package, you can have this which will basically it says on here green blue lighting and the cool refreshing breeze whisk your way to the seaside this will change all the lights to green and blue it'll change the air conditioning you'll put the air freshener on and basically tries to help change your mood so maybe if you have like a stressful day or something there are a few programs in here to change a few things just to kinds of help change your driving mood essentially training is another thing that helps relax muscles.

Improving attentiveness while driving some might call as gimmicky but some people might you know to swear by it but it's basically just a few programs and the Mercedes system will talk to you and tell you what exercises to do all safely behind the wheel and obviously, it must observe the road conditions at all times but it will talk to you and say maybe as you're driving you can roll your shoulders forwards and backward and maybe just kind of edge your back forwards or backward a bit more just to kinds of help keep those muscles as mobile as possible.

To be honest I think whoever might use this will be people who sit on the motorway or dual carriageway a lot and they do a lot of miles per year and they spend a lot of the time in the car and then tips basically very very similar to training just a few things training is a program almost like an audio playback thing whereas tips are just individual things you can listen to each individual thing energizing coach basically enhances that original energizing comfort program but it uses extra data from a Garmin smartwatch if you have one

5. Info

Next up on our list is the info I don't think many people will go into, to be honest, I think it's more aimed at specialist cars so things maybe like amg's if you have a high-performance engine and you do a lot of track driving or if you have a suv I think those are the main two categories of why you'd maybe go in here for everyone else there's a manual on here which you can view in terms of the stats that you can view on the vehicle you can see on the right here.

If I press the accelerator pedal the gas pedal you can see how much I'm pressing that and the brake pedal you can see all the stats of how hard I'm pressing that and then on the left you can see the suspension adjustment up and down again that will only be primarily for SUVs.

Then also on the bottom there is the kind of pitch or depending on if you're going up or down any gradient on any hills.

After this we have engines so this is where the amg's will come in so if you're a real amg enthusiast you can view your gearbox temperature engine oil temperature on the left and on the right and then all the other things will be the -

  1. Horsepower
  2. Newton meters of the torque
  3. Battery voltage
  4. Turbocharge air pressure

So you can view all of that statistical information if you wish.

Consumption - This shows you the average mpg most people are going to be looking at it over here on this site and then we also have an off-road score so this I haven't actually used yet mainly because it's only just come out on mbux but I presume it's very very similar to the economical school that you can get on how economically you're driving this will basically just do a few things for off-road and of course as you go down here it will show you different elements of data for that.

To be honest most people buy SUVs these days and they don't really take them off roads so but they're there if you need them anyway and then the manual will basically show you the manual on the screen.

So there are a few ways you can view manual in Mercedes-Benz cars you can do it on the screen in the actual owner's manual book which usually be in the glove box or the boot.

There's also an app you can download called Benz guides which is the one i would use just because it has access to all years all models of the manuals but you can view them on here if you wish and you can even change the language to a different language too in Mercedes-Benz apps it basically shows you what account your car's linked to and speaking of the apps if you have apple car play or android auto you can go in here and manually launch them.

You'll need a cable to plug them in and it goes into the one with the picture of the phone little symbol white symbol just there.

Apart from that there's also a browser in the car, to be honest, I'm not sure why you would need to use a browser because it will be greyed out when you're driving anyway for safety and if you pull over the side of the road you actually need a data package to use this anyway so you have to pay monthly with the power of modern smartphones and the chips processors that run smartphones these days it'll be a lot quicker and more flexible experience using your phone than in the car.

Hey if you have any kids in the back for example and they're lucky enough to have the screens in maybe a gls or something you could put the internet into the car and they can browse the internet on there maybe not so much for the front I don't think but it's a feature there just in case you want to use it and then finally we get on to settings.

6. Settings

Basically, all the settings that you can change in the car and on the quick access menu.

Some smaller cars may be like an a-class or cla b-class gla or something they might have about three or four.

Just to help with driving on the road next up we've got m for manual, it is basically changing the gears manually using the paddles behind the steering wheel so yes you can change gear manually.

Anyway just by tapping these but that will put the car into a manual mode all the time after this we have a p with some kind of what looks to be wi-fi symbols with a block is actually your parking sensors so you can turn them off if you wish to be honest I can't think of a day-to-day use why you would turn them off to be honest but they're there if in case you need to turn it off.

After this, we have active lane-keeping assist. It monitors the road ahead and if it detects you going over a white line it can pull you back into the lane or even just vibrate the The steering wheel just to let you know you're going over now in some cars they also have a thing called a driving assistance package which would be this l shape on the steering wheel on the right.

It can just help and assist you with steering on your motorways.

6.1 HUD(Heads Up Display)

Hud stands for heads-up display over here I can see the speed and certain elements of this screen through the glass I like to refer to that as more of a jet fighter pilot kind of style it's pretty cool I wish I had it on my car but you turn on this thing here you can basically turn that off.

It works by refreshing a bit of light from here up to up to the windscreen.

6.2 Turbo Protection

Next, the turbo protection and interior motion sensor so if you want to turn off the alarm for any reason for the exterior which will be this one and then the interior which will be this one maybe if you go on a ferry or something like that or if you have any kids or pets in the car I'll probably be the reason why you need to turn those off dsr is found on most SUVs which is the downhill speed regulator so think of cruise control but for going down the hill at walking speed that's how I kind of describe that because obviously if you're going up over a hill your view is kind of over this way and you won't be able to see what's down there so basically it will kind of regulate your speed at one two three four five miles an hour at whichever speed you select.

After this, we have a button which is found in some SUVs which can lower the car to help you get in and out because obviously some of them can be quite high especially like gls's as long as you've got air suspension you can lower the car and obviously when you start driving again it will go back up again.

After this quite a few new cars now are having a thing called car wash mode which basically will fold your mirrors inset the air recirculation on make sure your sunroof is closed and just prep the car for a car wash and this obviously would be a drive-through car wash as well.

6.3 Trailer assist

After that, we have the trailer coupling so in some cars with a Mercedes-Benz fitted trailer coupling you can press one button and it will put the coupling-out at the back In some cars, it's down there but on mbux cars, it's on the screen and sometimes there's usually a button in the boot as well.

After this, we have the assistance menu so for this we just need the ignition on and what the assistance menu shows you is things to do with the sensors so in the first one we have a camera and parking so in here we'll have the volume for the parking sensors so we can make them louder.

We can change the pitch play a song like that audio fade during warning tones so this will be if you have the radio on all the music off your phone it will phase the music down.

Maneuvering assistance is a new feature found on quite a few new cars which allows you to stop having little bumps and things in the car park now obviously please don't try this out but say you're parked here and there's a car here if you start reversing back a little bit too quickly it can slam the brakes on just to stop that crash so think of it as more like a slower speed active brake assist so again I would probably have that one because that's quite a useful thing.

Open camera cover is a thing where you can open up the camera cover at the back for the reversing camera so yes it does have a cover that opens and closes automatically when you reverse or put it in drive or put it back into park but it's mainly there in case you were reversing and there's no residue or watermarks on the lens itself you can open that up go around to the back and wipe it over with a dry cloth and um as soon as you turn the car off it will close again soum a little manual way of opening the camera cover at the back.

After this we have traffic sign assist so in some cars there's a radar at the top which will scan for traffic signs and show you the speed limit on the screen you can change that from visual and audible to just visual or have the whole thing off and you can even set the threshold for the speed limit for the road lane-keeping assists so we did mention this one just on the quick access menu there are a few settings in there to change that I'd recommend either leaving it on standard or if you don't like that the particular thing you can turn it off attention assist so all Mercedes-Benz has this it monitors how you drive and if it detects you getting tired it'll suggest you pull over to take a break again this can be switched off or you can make the system a little bit more sensitive than normal.

After this, we have a vehicle so in here you can go to dynamic select and you can change how the car drives using the dynamic select button just down here you can do that on that switch anyway but it's just another way of doing it. Winter tires although we don't really get involved with using that in the UK if you have winter tires there is a certain speed limit that you can't go over.

Automatic seat adjustment um so this is found on brand new cars with the memory seats but um quite cleverly you can set your height here I can click that one and it will put the seat into what it thinks is the right position for me to drive in.

Belt adjustment if this is on when you clip your belt in what it will do is basically pull this and just make it a little bit tighter automatically for you every time you get in. This is typically only in the front seats it won't do anything in the back if you don't like that little tug when you first plug it in you can turn that off with the little toggle switch.

Next one down after this we have acoustic lock so acoustic lock is when you lock the car it will give a little toot from the horn to say it's locked user preference on this one whether you have that on or off but useful for finding a car in a car park if you can't remember any place. You can press lock and you'll be able to hear the little toot from the horn automatic locking.

Automatic folding which is the mirrors they'll automatically fold in and out when you lock and unlock the car obviously there's a button over here to do it manually.

Filling station search if the car hits the reserve fuel level at any point it will recommend fuel stations to go to on the screen on the left so useful if you like to live life on the reserve fuel

After this we have lights so obviously another setting here to change the ambient lighting there's nothing different than this one that's exactly the same as the other one we've just been through dipped beams so dipped beams is for some cars that have the intelligent light system or also known as multi-beam led but the way this works is that depending on what side of the road you drive on if you drive on the left your headlights are actually set up to drive on that side of the road so it doesn't dazzle other road users if you drive on the right then set up for the right but you can change this in here without having to put stickers on your lights.

After this, we've got exterior light delay shut off so this one is when you lock the car at night time it's how long the lights stay on for when you lock it so you can choose on pretty much any Mercedes I've seen 15 seconds to 60 seconds.

Whatever you set it at interior light delay shutoff is the same for the interior lights obviously they're all controlled up.

Adaptive headlights as you can see on the animation there I'll just play that again so you can see and as you turn the steering wheel so you turn the steering wheel you will see the lights will move, not all cars have that but it's quite nice to have that extra capability the lights will move depending on your steering input to give you maximum visibility and surround lighting is basically when you unlock and lock the car.

You'll have a few lights around the outside potentially behind your handles or under your mirrors just to help with um seeing it at nighttime you spot those puddles or something on the floor and then finally we have the system so system many controls things like the themes so you can control the different themes on the screen

I can change this to sport and all the dials will now go a yellowy gold color I can change it to progressive which will change all the dials to kind of like a bluey orangey the theme again your preference whichever one you choose you can change the display brightness of how bright the screen is now typically it's actually going to change the brightness automatically anyway but you can adjust it further here don't forget also if they are really really dim over on the right-hand side down here there's a little toggle switch which you can move up and down and that will control what the lights do at night time.

After this there's also a display off you can just switch the whole screen off and just focus on this screen with your speed and revs and things like that any button you press will then bring it back on by default the car is automatically going to change from day to night design so the sat nav being nice and bright with bright colors in the day and it will go really really dark at night time.

After this we've got controls, to be honest, I wouldn't really go in here to change this unless you want to change the sensitivity of the touchpads. If you wanted to you could enable a thing called touchpad tap so by default when you click on something you have to press it down hard for it to do anything touchpad tap is quite simply then a tap and it will go into that a bit like on a laptop but um i would rather have that off because you could accidentally go into a menu that you didn't mean to go into.

Linguatronic is the Mercedes way of talking about the voice input so things like the hey Mercedes feature found on mvx now I've actually got this switched off at the moment because you've probably noticed I said Mercedes quite a few times and it hasn't gone off. I've turned this off if you haven't seen it if I switch it on hey Mercedes how can I help and we'll have a voice assistant in the car and you can give it commands that way.

I'm going to switch that off for now just because I don't want her coming up while we're talking about the video online recognition lets it connect to the internet again providing it's connected through your Mercedes me account you'll be able to ask at the weather and certain things just to assist the Mercedes assistant. I'd probably always leave this on to be honest because it's it just makes it even better underneath this will be audio settings so we have already gone through a few of those already.

Next up on our list is wi-fi and Bluetooth so this enables you to turn off the Bluetooth I'm not sure why you would want to do that because it's probably better to have your Bluetooth on and then NFC on some phones, not iPhones but some androids and Samsung's and things like that you can connect your phone via NFC quite simply by holding your phone in this area here for iPhones it doesn't really do anything so you could safely switch that off or leave it on up to you wi-fi basically lets you turn off the wi-fi capability of the car just obviously bear in mind for the all the things underneath here for the hot spot you need to pay monthly for that.

You've also got transmit vehicle position this basically is to do with the Mercedes I features this will automatically switch on when you turn the services on Mercedes me so you can basically locate the car on a map just bear in mind that is usually chargeable but some cars get it free for three years again through Mercedes me basically.

You can change the language and this changes the language of the whole system and also changes the language for the Mercedes voice assistant as well so I haven't actually counted how many languages there are but there's a lot on there so I only speak English so we'll leave it on English, for now, units will change the speed readings on here from miles an hour to kilometers an hour so say you drive in Europe some countries over there will have kilometers an hour

License activation so in here you can see a few things of how the licenses are operating in the car, to be honest, there's not really anything to look at in here I think this might have more functionality in Europe but basically, you'll see that there's android auto-wired apple car play if you want to purchase these things if your car doesn't have it.

Factory settings in case you need to reset anything say you're selling the car that is one thing you should do it will wipe the sat nav delete all the phones and put it back to factory settings.
