I brought my Audi Q6 e-tron into an authorized dealership for a mandatory factory safety recall service. Prior to this appointment, all Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including the front sensors, Front-Assist collision avoidance, and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), were operating 100% normally with zero faults. Immediately upon picking up the vehicle after the manufacturer's software update, the safety systems were completely disabled, and active dashboard warning lights were triggered. The dealership's service manager explicitly confirmed that the safety sensor hardware is…
The central locking and keyless proximity systems suffered a catastrophic electronic malfunction. The vehicle completely auto-locked itself from the outside while the vehicle's smart keys, the driver's mobile phone, and a [XXX] child were all inside the cabin. The proximity sensors entirely failed to detect that the key was inside the vehicle, preventing any outside handle access or proximity unlocking. The occupant was temporarily trapped inside the vehicle. The manufacturer is currently holding the vehicle under an active repair order for related backordered high-voltage and electronic…
I am reporting a severe, life-threatening safety defect involving the central locking system, electronic door latches, and the Multi Media Interface (MMI) control system on my vehicle. While driving, the vehicle has experienced multiple simultaneous malfunctions that pose an immediate risk of injury or fatality to passengers and other motorists: 1. Unintended Door Opening While Driving: The passenger-side vehicle door has popped open completely on its own while the vehicle is in motion at normal driving speeds and was caught by the safety latch. 2. Unintended Fuel/Charge Door Opening: The…
This is the 3rd time I have had a "high-voltage electrical system malfunction." It was just towed to the dealership.
My 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron has repeated intermittent door-lock/door-release failures affecting multiple doors. Doors have failed to open from both inside and outside. I am concerned this could prevent or delay occupant egress in an emergency. The vehicle has been presented to Audi [XXX] repeatedly for this concern: XXX and XXX. Repairs have primarily involved software updates. During the August visit, Audi Technical Assistance Center (TAC #XXX) became involved due to the repeat concern. Audi directed the dealer to reinstall the KD2* software update and update four additional control modules. The…
I am reporting an unresolved safety defect involving my Audi Q6 e-tron. Before August 5, 2026, the vehicle had repeated intermittent electronic/system malfunctions, including safety warnings, systems becoming unavailable, loss of audio, Apple CarPlay failures, “technical error” messages, and the interface freezing on loading screens even after restarting. I have photos and videos documenting many of these issues. The vehicle was taken to an Audi dealer on August 5 and returned August 12 after service that included a KD2 update. On August 17, while making a left turn through an intersection…
The Airbag Cover is defective. The Logo on the steering wheel is deforming. I reported this issue to Audi and they are not assisting me in the replacement of the safety features. They are claiming that it is a trim piece and not subject warranty repairs. The Logo is the site of the airbag deployment in the event of an accident and could cause incorrect deployment or deployment failure. The happened in another vehicle I owned, and it was replaced as a safety issue. I have made attempts to deal directly with the dealer and with Audi Corporate, However, they are refusing to escalate this and are…
While driving my Audi Q6 e-tron on the highway, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of propulsion and nearly all vehicle electrical/display functions. The instrument cluster and dashboard went completely black, and the vehicle would no longer respond to accelerator input. I was able to get the vehicle to the side of the highway. After the failure, the vehicle could not be restarted or driven. The dashboard and vehicle controls remained inoperative, and I was unable to electronically lock the vehicle. The primary functions that continued to operate were the hazard warning lights…
CENTRAL LOCKING MALFUNCTION. Central locking malfunction will lock my kids INSIDE my car and my key not work. It will also lock me inside the car and the emergency not work. There is a class action lawsuit for this!!! And all of my electrical will completely go out.
Entire MMI including driving information, speed, milage and heads up including potential other systems went dark.
[XXX] purchased a 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron (VIN: [XXX] ) on July 10, 2025. **Dec. 1–8, 2025 (4,236 mi):** Brought to Audi Denver with lane assist/front collision unavailable, driver profile error, and instrument cluster restarting while driving. Service Advisor Jeremy Bylsma diagnosed software issues and performed a KD2 update per TSB 2077141/4. Loaner provided. **Jan. 6, 2026 (4,773 mi):** Returned to Audi Denver reporting rear trunk would not fully close. Service Advisor Mathew Thurman confirmed concern, referenced TSB 2077064/7, readjusted hatch bump stops, and re-adapted the latch. Returned…
1.We were driving down a 4-lane divided road and the car abruptly and rapidly slow down at a cross road causing the car behind me to hit their brakes just barely avoiding a collision. There was no reason for this, there wasn’t a stop sign or signal just, a cross road. 2.Audi setup my wife’s phone so that she could use her phone and leave the key at home, guess what? The app(?) stopped working while she was shopping and when she came out the phone couldn’t open the door. Fortunately, she left her key in her purse and was able to operate her car. What would have happened if she was out in the…

Counts are a starting point, not a verdict: popular models collect more complaints because more of them are on the road, and NHTSA does not verify individual reports. To see whether a recall is still open on your car, enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls (U.S.) or your registration at check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk (UK). Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA; complaints are what trigger investigations and recalls.
