Is the 2024 BMW X7 recalled in the UK or Europe?
Recalls issued by the UK's DVSA and through the EU's Safety Gate system that cover this model and build period. European models can differ from U.S. ones, and "years estimated" means the recall gave no build dates, so confirm your own car with your registration or VIN.
UK DVSAHydraulic Brake System Unit Replacement
Risk: On affected vehicles the brake servomotor was improperly welded. The weld seam might not withstand the stresses caused under high brake pressure leading to a requirement for a higher brake effort increasing the braking distance.
Fix: Affected vehicles will have the hydraulic unit of the brake system replaced.
UK DVSAIntegrated Braking System
Risk: On certain vehicles the Integrated Brake (IB) system may be impaired due to contamination between electrical contacts.
Fix: Vehicles that may be affected by contamination are required to have the vehicle’s software updated which can detect signal interference before it occurs. If symptoms are detected you should refrain from use of the vehicle and the affected Integrated Brake (IB) system component will be replaced.
UK DVSASeat Belt Warning (Front Seat Belts)
Risk: On affected vehicles the hall sensor in the driver and passenger front seat belt stalks may not have been correctly installed and it may indicate the seat belt is inserted correctly when it actually is not.
Fix: On affected vehicles the seat belt stalks will be tested and replaced if necessary.
UK DVSAIntegrated Braking System
Risk: On affected vehicles an unexpected loss of hydraulic brake assistance may occur and may result in a different pedal behaviour under specific conditions an extended braking distance may be experienced and ABS/Stability control may be impaired
Fix: On the affected vehicles the Integrated Brake System will be replaced
UK DVSAChecking potential vehicle damage
Risk: On affected vehicles risk of potential flooding could have occurred leading to salt water ingress whilst parked in port awaiting shipping
Fix: The affected vehicles will be thoroughly checked cleaned and reworked as required
EU Safety GateThe engine starter’s electrical contacts may overheat and cause the vehicle to start improperly.Continued starting attempts can intensify the overheating and ignite surrounding components, potentially leading to a vehicle fire while driving or shortly after parking.

EU Safety GateThe hollow shaft of the servomotor was not welded correctly. The weld may not be able to withstand high braking pressure build-up and may break. In this case, the reduced braking performance requires greater force and the braking distance may increase. In addition, the ABS and DSC brake control systems are not assisted. This increases the risk of an accident.
Measures: Type of economic operator taking notified measure(s): Manufacturer; Category of measure(s): Recall of the product from end users; Date of entry into force: Unknown

2024 X7 with 13k miles on it roughly. Have had multiple drivetrain malfunction issues that caused car to not start. Dealer first did a software update which i dont believe fixed anything. second time the issue happened they said it was due to the car battery not being charged enough. car has had multiple issues related to low charge. BMW says its due to me not taking the car on long enough drives. However the charging on the car is inconsistent and faults related to the 48volt charging system which have stated (repair required soon) 224F8F were cleared by the dealer and not investigated. Car…
Car presents the forward collision mitigation and lane departure warning are inoperable. Errors popped up 10-20 times while driving a short distance. These are repeat errors that BMW has not fixed. As i drove the car kept alerting me that the systems were offline. They would come back online and go back offline as i drove. Car has been to dealership around 8-9 times and BMW says there is adamant that nothing is wrong with the car even though this error has been happening since I have had the car at around 1000 miles. Currently at ~13k miles now.
The vehicle brakes have stopped working on this vehicle three times. The Integrated brake system has been worked on several times with loss of brake power happening while I have infants int he car with me several times. The BMW dealership, BMW Fort Washington in Pennsylvania, ahs failed to repair it several times despite requests. I lost braking power today and almost hit two different vehicles which I barely avoided by taking dangerous evasive action. Numerous warning lights came on inside the vehicle: 1) "Drive carefully. Brake System" 2) "Parking Brake" 3) "Reduced Driver Assistance" 4)…
While driving the vehicle I received a "drivetrain malfunction" message and the vehicle engine stopped and refused to start. The vehicle message further indicated that the vehicle was not driveable to contact the service center. The vehicle has been previously serviced for this same issue and the dealer indicated it was a known issue, but there was no solution offered by the manufacturer at this time. There was no initial warning this would occur or ability to safely pull over before it occured. The event occured in the middle of the roadway while driving, and there not sufficient time to…

There was a red symbol displayed. Additionally, while driving at an unknown speed or a stop light, the brakes locked up. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on multiple occasions, where it was diagnosed and the mechanic reset the instrument panel and brakes. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. While driving to the same local dealer, the vehicle shut down, and the mechanics had to…

Counts are a starting point, not a verdict: popular models collect more complaints because more of them are on the road, and NHTSA does not verify individual reports. To see whether a recall is still open on your car, enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls (U.S.) or your registration at check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk (UK). Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA; complaints are what trigger investigations and recalls.
