I own a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country with the 6.2L V8 (L87), covered by Recall 25V-274. I believe the remedy does not establish that my vehicle is safe, and GM has declined to confirm that it is. My truck was inspected under the recall in August 2025. It passed, and the oil was changed to 0W-40. I later returned to the dealer to complete the recall work, where the new oil fill cap was installed. Before the remedy, the truck had been driven roughly 30,000 miles on the original oil, including repeated towing during a move. NHTSA’s EA26005 states it has received complaints of engine…

As I was driving, the vehicle threw a CEL and I saw the RPM’s fall. This happened multiple times, twice at an all-way stop sign, and once at a major intersection resulting in me being stranded with my vehicle in the middle of an active roadway, unable to move my vehicle. I brought my vehicle into the Chevrolet Dealership and the service department is claiming that I need to pay $1500 for a fuel pump with a CEL code that is not able to be duplicated. There is a TSB 24-NA-139 regarding my issue saying that it is not the fuel pump, it is the fuel pump control module. My issue is that the…

While driving at a low speed power steering failed. This happened on two separate occasions once while turning into a parking lot the other while doing a u turn. On both occasions I was almost in a crash. The other vehicle had a slam on brakes to avoid my truck. The message on the dashboard was “service power steering drive with care”. The steering wheel is yanked out of my hands each time it loses power. After the ignition is turned off for five minutes the issue is resolved upon restarting the vehicle.

I have a 2022 Chevy 2500HD diesel with 28,500 miles on it that recently went in for inspection. It FAILED the inspection due to the rear brake pads and rotors. These components are so bad that the rotors failed at less than 30k miles on them. Anything that has to do with a brake system puts everyone on the road at risk. The problem was repaired by the dealership at an astronomical price and other issues. No warning lamps or anything, in fact the brake pad wear sensor still read almost 40%.

These 6.2 Liters are failing and there is no fix. GM claims my motor passed a test but not knowing if and when it will break down leaving me stranded or worse in a horrible accident with engine failure is not safe. My lane assist is now out as well, the version is old and GM wants to charge to update it (only 60k miles on the truck). Top it off with this new recall my oil changes are over $150 for supercar oil. The deprecation of this truck with know recalls is another issue. I can't get rid of this because it isn't worth much anymore. DO NOT BUY GM OR CHEVY!! So sad to see them fail their…
