Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2024-2025 Buick Envista, 2024-2026 Buick Encore GX, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and 2025 Chevrolet Trax vehicles. The rearview camera screen may display a distorted or blank image.
Risk: A rearview image that does not display correctly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera, if necessary, free of charge. Letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed September 17, 2026. Another letter will be mailed once the parts are available. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300. GM's number for this recall is A262554900. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on August 20, 2026.

The required back up camera got water inside the housing, worked for a little while, and then ultimately failed. There is a Recall for other trailblazers with this exact issue, however it seems my VIN was not included in said recall.
When accelerating forward, the front wheel is almost locked up, and I was violently thrown forward into the seat belt and steering wheel. The transmission seemed like it jammed and the car was bucking. there is a known GM technical service bulletin on this, but no recall. The car was towed to the dealer and not drivable. I’m glad this did not happen on the highway or with other cars around or it would have caused an accident and injury.

The 2024 Trailblazer developed a problem going into reverse at less than 17500 miles in December of 2025 when my daughter came home for Christmas. It would slam into reverse or freeze and then shift harshly. The selling dealer replaced the valve body in the transmission while it was in for normal service, the valve body was on order for 30 days in January. After I delivered the car back to my daughter on January 26, 2026 which was 4 hours away in Northern Virginia the transmission continued to freeze and slam into reverse. My 2024 trailblazer lt's engine light came on about a month ago. I took it to a local dealership and they said it was caused by CCND. Diagnosed code P0128 in pass/fail status. They test drove it to get light to come on and it was unable to duplicate it. They cleared the codes. A month later it came back on. I took it to my dealership and they said they have to take the entire front end off to replace the engine coolant bypass valve. They said that the electronic component was going bad. This car isn't even 2 yrs old. This should not be happening.
I was stopped at a red light. When the light turned green I entered the intersection, the LKA system began alerting me and pulling the vehicle towards the oncoming left traffic turn lane. I took my foot off the accelerator and reached over to shut the LKA off as it was pulling my vehicle. The incident resulted in distracting me resulting in my car hitting a car in the oncoming left turn lane.

I reported this twice to the dealer — the first time they said it was just sand inside the wheel. The noise continued. Almost every time I shift from park to drive and take my foot off the brake my car jolts forward a couple feet/inches to take off by itself in a manner that it should not. This has been going on since I got the car brand new and have had it just over a little over a year. The audio in the vehicle goes out the radio and the warning sounds for all the safety alerts. The vehicle has been to the dealer 3 times the problem still is occurring. The problem is random no telling when it will occur. I have called GM customer service they were useless.
