Digital instrument cluster and infotainment system went completely black while driving for 10 seconds before rebooting. Has happened twice in the last 6 months.
the instrument's in the glass dash shut down including speed, fuel, informatics, radio etc.. could not verify what else was electronically was not functional the is built into the Trax. I reported it to the dealership I purchased it from. No warnings, messages or problems prior to the failure. the car was being driven and started to slow down on its own and then completely shut down with the check engine light on. It was taken to an outside auto shop to have the battery checked, and the mechanic said it was the alternator. it was still within the 36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty so I took it to the dealership. They claim the technician found the battery discharged once, but once the tested everything it functioned fine. It could have been from something left plugged into the USB port..... We are still waiting for the back up camera part that is part of a recall since 2025
On August 20, 2026, at approximately 7:54 AM during the daytime, I was driving approximately 5ā9 mph up a dimly lit parking garage ramp, turning left into my usual parking spot for work on the ramp. My carās front end had already cleared a cement column on my right, so I was pleasantly parking. Suddenly, the front-end collision assist malfunctioned, activating when it shouldn't have, and violently pushed my right front tire into the cement column, whipping the steering wheel around immediately fracturing the radius bone in my dominant right forearm. The impact was so sudden and forceful that Iā¦
I am having a problem with my brakes sticking. After it has been sitting all night, the brake pedal will be stiff and Iām unable to push it down much to start it. Once itās started it thumps almost like the parking brake was set but I havenāt used it and I park on flat land. When Iām sitting in park, itās idling as though Iām pushing the gasā¦the speed accelerates especially on curvy roads where I brake more frequently. The rotors have been scored for some time. Dealership blames it on them getting heated up. I drove to work and home 15 minutes each way. Iāve had a few long road trips but thisā¦
During an accident when impacted in the front of vehicle not a single airbag deployed
The contact owned a 2025 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormally loud bang, and the vehicle lost automotive power. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the road, and the vehicle was towed to a local dealer. The engine was replaced under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 20,227.
On my way to work the car overheated causing me to be stranded in the middle of no where without cell service. When it got to the dealership to repaire the car, they stated that it was a cylinder head. The dearship had my car a little over a month for repairs, the dealership did finally give me a loaner for the last week of the repairs but I lost work and a client due to not having transportation. A week after receiving the car back I still had problems with a check engine light coming on occasionally with loss of power and it would go away. I did not trust the car at all.
using adaptive cruise control if a car comes in front of you from the side street etc the car can go from 55 to 30 in seconds and if someone is following too close or not paying attention that car can hit you in the rear . on curvy roads a car coming the other way will almost stop the car quickly annoying the driver behind you
Since brand new the electronics have been defective. The lane keep assist has to be turned off during slippery road conditions because the computer jerks the steering wheel during normal driving where white road markings, such as merging lanes are present. During highway speeds on slippery snow or ice it nearly sends the vehicle into a dangerous maneuver. The backup camera was defective intermittently since it was new and was unable to be corrected by the dealer shop during its first new vehicle service. The rear camera has now gone completely out which is standard safety equipment. Aā¦
The first problem began at approximately 5,000 miles. After refueling, the vehicleās transmission would slip severely. The slipping continued to occur intermittently after that point. I brought the vehicle to a dealership Initially, I was told that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. After further testing, the dealership identified a transmission issue related to Technical Service Bulletin 25-NA-211 and stated that the repair was completed.
