While driving a 2025 Chrysler Pacifica rental vehicle at highway speeds on the interstate, the vehicle experienced a catastrophic electronic throttle/cruise control failure resulting in sudden, violent, and sustained unintended acceleration. The cruise control system completely locked up and would not disengage. When the accelerator stuck, I heavily depressed the service brakes, but the braking system was completely unable to overcome the wide-open throttle of the engine. The vehicle refused to decelerate. To prevent a catastrophic high-speed collision, I was forced to shift the transmission…
Vehicle unexpectedly disengage, adaptive, cruise control, and accelerated without driver input to the accelerator pedal. After applying break, vehicle continued to accelerate without driver input to the gas pedal. Vehicle accelerated from approximately 65 mph to over 80 mph.Brake had to be applied to bring vehicle to a full stop, even though engine continued to rev. After stopping the vehicle again the only way to control the vehicle was to turn off the automatic start button. After restarting the…

On Saturday July 25th, while driving at 70 mph on the highway, my van lost the ability to accelerate or maintain velocity. There was no warning or indication that this was going to happen. There was a beep and the screen flashed to a screen that said to pull over immediately and safely. Surprised and scared, I had to cut across 3 lanes of traffic while losing velocity cutting off a tractor trailer because my velocity dropped quickly. After restarting, the vehicle ran normally. I drove in the slow lane for a mile an it happened again. I was able to get the vehicle off the highway and drive…
We were at a complete stop waiting for traffic to go, I had my foot on the brake pedal and the car lunge/revved up and hit the car in front of me. This is the 3rd time this has happened. The first time we were advised it was probably the front-end sensor that were probably covered with ice. We were advised they are very sensitive. The 2nd time it was winter still, so we took the car through the car wash to make sure no ice was built up. We did not get in an accident because traffic started to move. We took the vehicle to the dealership, and they could not find anything wrong with it. Chrysler…
Auto stall at stop is not working safely on my vehicle there are two issues that can cause safety problems .A) when system restarts engine the vehicle has jumped forward several feet quickly causing very nearly hitting the car in front of me as a traffic light turned green . B) when I slow not quite to a stop making a left turn I have experience very low or no power and could be hit if a car is coming towards me . Both these issues do stop if I remember to turn off the auto stall system but I do not always remember ! I did make a compliant at a Chrysler Dealer they found no issues and did not…
My van has been in the shop for 22 days. They have replaced the engine 1 time and I had the van back 2 more times for check engine light issues and now the engine is being replaced for a a second time, so this is the 3rd engine in my 2025 Chrysler Pacifica that has 9100 miles on it.
At 9,000 miles the check engine light came on. We took the van to the dealership and there was metal in the engine and the engine needs to be replaced.
While driving off from an intersection, the van abruptly stalled forcing other cars to honk at me as I rolled from 45 mph to a stop at a curb. 5 minutes of panic, the van restarted and I was on my way home with no further issues.
When i put van in park ,shut off,it moves a little even on flat surface. When i back up in grass or out of a sloped driveway the van acts like something is preventing it from going backwards. The van, when going from the right lane to the left will act like it pulls to the right, hard to explain. Also when going down a road with slight bumps it makes a noise like something is loose,a rattle like.

Counts are a starting point, not a verdict: popular models collect more complaints because more of them are on the road, and NHTSA does not verify individual reports. To see whether a recall is still open on your car, enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls (U.S.) or your registration at check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk (UK). Had a safety problem?
