Air Bags: Frontal Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia, 2018-2025 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, 2019-2023 Fiat 500X, Jeep Renegade, and 2024 Fiat 500E vehicles. A seat belt buckle switch sensor may be improperly connected, preventing the front seat air bag from deploying as intended.
Risk: A front seat air bag that does not deploy as intended can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Fix: Dealers will repair the connection, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning August 27, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 82B.
Air Bags: Air Bags/Restraint Control Module Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X vehicles. Incorrect software may cause the occupant restraint controller (ORC) module to disable certain passive safety features.
Risk: Deactivated passive safety features can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Fix: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will update the ORC module software, free of charge. The recall began May 2, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler's customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is V42.

Risk: In case of an accident if the rear seat belts are not fastened i.e. if the rear seat is not occupied by a passenger or is occupied by a child restraint system coupled only to the Isofix anchors and the pretensioners are deployed the rear seat latch could be released. The contents of the rear luggage area if unsecured could enter the cabin area
Fix: Replace the latch bezels with bezels the shape of which prevents the seat belts from interfering with the latch and releasing the seat in the event of a pretensioner deployment.

THE PROBLEM STARTED WHEN I STARTED THE CAR FOR THE FIRST TIME IT WAS SHOWING A WARNING WITH THE SECURITY SYSTEM OF THE CAR, WHEN I GO TO THE GAS STATION I TRIED TO PUMP GAS AND THE PUMP STOPS PUMPING AND THE CAR WON'T TAKE THE GAS, THROWING IT OUTSIDE, AND SPILLING GAS ON THE FLOOR OF THE GAS STATION AND SPILLING IN MY CLOTHES. TO FILL THE TANK TOOK MY MORE THAN 10 MINUTES TO FIILL IT COMPLETELY, THIS SITUATION WILL CONTINUE TO OCCUR EVERYTIME I WILL FILL THE TANK IF IT WAS LOWER THAN HALF SO AFTER THAT I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO DO AN INSPECTION. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. INVALID VIN.
