Power Train: Axle Assembly: Axle Shaft Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles manufactured September 2, 2010, to November 30, 2013; 2013-2014 Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS vehicles manufactured August 25, 2011, to November 30, 2013; and 2013-2014 Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT vehicles manufactured September 12, 2011, to November 30, 2013. In the affected vehicles, the halfshaft retention circlip may not have been properly installed, and as a result, the halfshaft may move outward and disengage from the linkshaft while driving and without prior warning.
Risk: If the halfshaft and linkshaft become disengaged while driving, power will no longer be transmitted to the wheels, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. Additionally, if the parking brake is not applied before exiting the vehicle, the vehicle may roll away despite the transmission being placed in 'Park', increasing the risk of injury to exiting occupants and bystanders.
Fix: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles to make sure that the halfshaft is properly retained. If it is not, dealers will replace the linkshaft and also replace the halfshaft if it shows evidence of spline damage, free of charge. The recall began on August 4, 2014. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-800-392-3673. Ford's number for this recall is 14S10.
Fuel System, Gasoline Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Edge vehicles manufactured from September 2, 2010, through April 25, 2013, and equipped with 2.0L engines. The fuel line pulse damper metal housing may crack as a result of an improper manufacturing process. A cracked fuel line pulse damper housing may result in a combination of fuel odor, weepage, or a continuous leak while the fuel system is pressurized.
Risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire.
Fix: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel line with one that does not have a damper, free of charge. The safety recall began on February 25, 2014. Owners may contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 13S13. IMPORTANT: This recall supersedes recall 12V-438. All vehicles that have been remedied under the previous recall need to have the current remedy applied.

Engine keeps throwing sensors and transmission has hard shifting and slips ford is against changing fluid because i have put mileage on it. Loses power at stop of red lights
The brakes are hard to mash and spongey and it has a hissing kind of sound I believe it is a brake booster. When I bought the vehicle used from a dealership they told me it didn't have any recalls on the vehicle but later own I found out it did have a recall for the abs system so i called the ford company and they told me that the recall has already ended and they wouldn't fix it and now when I look it up online it showed the brake boosted had a recall to that the dealership never told me about but now I believe the recall has already ended on that to but not sure. But if the dealership told…
As I was driving into a parking lot space, I stepped on the brake pedal, and it sank to the floor. I rapidly pumped the pedal 2 or 3 times, but it continued to sink to the floor. As the car continued moving forward, I tried to avoid colliding with landscape items, drove between 2 parked cars, scraping one or both of them, and injured a pedestrian. My vehicle stopped when I jammed the gear control into the “PARK” position.
Shift to park message, not showing it is in park. Can only crank the car if you turn the key halfway and then shift to neutral to crank it. Once you put it back in park and set the emergency brake you can only crank it by repeating the process of Neutral cranking. Car will roll away without brake set. Driving is a concern as I am afraid it might pop into another gear. My year 2012 is not in the recall that effects 2015-2018 models but it's the exact same issue.
Constant gas smell . Was told there is a fuel tank leak. Also check engine light came on and the codes that came up is for supercharger/ turbo boost.
I was t-boned in the intersection of [XXX] and [XXX] in Washington, Utah on [XXX]. The airbags did not deploy in my vehicle. I was not injured or receive medical care. However, its a safety violation somewhere I'm sure. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
2012 Ford Edge -The passenger door will shut but the alarm that came with the car says that the door is not shut. The alarm will not work when the car detects the door is not shut, so the interior lights will not turn off. Will this affect my battery? When I drive with the sensor on the dashboard states the door is not closed and the interior light will not shut off which becomes a distraction at night. When driving the car, the locks will not work because the dashboard senses the door is not closed. This is a family car with a child still in a car seat. Anyone can jump in my car? There a lot…
