The contact owns a 2025 Ford F-150. The contact stated that after the vehicle came to a complete stop, the front driver-side door was opened, and the transmission independently shifted to Park (P). The vehicle was restarted, and the transmission was able to shift out of Park (P). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the gear shift module needed to be replaced, but the part was on back order. The contact associated the failure with Technical Service…
On October 14, 2026, while traveling approximately 75 mph on an interstate highway, the front panoramic sunroof glass on my 2025 Ford F-150 Tremor suddenly and violently shattered without any apparent impact. The sunroof was fully closed, and the interior sunshade was fully open. There was an extremely loud, gunshot-like explosion without any preceding sound of an object striking the vehicle or other warning signs. Most of the front glass panel blew upward and outward, leaving a large opening in the roof. Fractured glass remained attached around the perimeter, and glass fragments entered the…
The contact owns a 2025 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 15 MPH, the trailer hitch connection fault and blind spot fault messages were displayed. The contact and a neighbor extinguished the fire using a water hose and a fire extinguisher. A fire report was filed. The vehicle was towed by the insurance company to a storage facility, where it was inspected by the insurance company. The vehicle was…
Was driving down the road when a series of alerts started popping up on my instrument panel and lost braking ability. The following alerts occurred in the specific order. Parking brake service limited, Brake system failure alert, service advancedtrac. Braking Pedal went to the floor, I continued to stomp on the brake pedal and pump, trying to get a response. The braking system never responded and I eventually came to a rest. My safety as well as any drivers around me was put at risk. The vehicle has not been inspected by dealer as the incident just occured. I inspected the brake fluid level…
While parking, the truck accelerated on it own. The vehicle jumped over the parking cement stop.
I believe whats happening is - The transmission is downshifting too early, and applying a significant and random amount of braking resistance. This braking goes off and on at random. It prevents the driver from braking in a controlled manner, as this random and unpredictable additional braking caused by - i think - the transmission is constantly changing. Therefore sometime my truck will randomly and suddenly slow down, then accelerate. As a driver, I am always trying to match the trucks random braking, and brake calmly. Its impossible to do. This has caused me to nearly rear end people at…
Our 2025 Ford Lightning has experienced multiple instances of low-speed unintended acceleration. On May 26, 2026, while coasting into a parking spot on a slight incline, the vehicle suddenly accelerated and caused a collision. The defect has occurred approximately six times over 7,300 miles of operation (approximately once every 1,200 miles). Professional collision repair was completed July 7, 2026. Defect recurred after repair. Ford Factory Service Engineer inspection on August 10, 2026 conducted a seven-mile test drive and reported "concern not duplicated". The vehicle's EDR (Event Data…
While I was driving, I was pressing my brakes and the vehicle would not stop at a stop sign. Then with the brakes pressed all the way down, it was a very elongated stop so this rolled me through the stop sign. Thankfully no cars were coming. It felt as if I was trying to stop on ice. Supposedly this was fixed with an OTA update when the initial recall came out last year.
The contact owns a 2025 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle and shifting into gear, the adaptive cruise control mode independently activated and set the speed to 15 MPH. The message "Cruise Control Activated" was displayed with the set speed. The contact stated that the failure occurred approximately six times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times, but the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by phone. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
On August 19, 2026, I was involved in a collision in my 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning after a suspected malfunction involving the automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and/or acceleration controls. Cruise control was on; BlueCruise was not. While on an exit ramp, I heard a loud warning beep, experienced automatic braking, and then felt the truck suddenly accelerate into the vehicle ahead. The unexpected braking and acceleration compromised my ability to control the truck and avoid a collision, putting me and occupants of the other vehicle at risk. I am concerned about driving this…
Vehicle demonstrates an intermittent lag during acceleration, particularly during throttle position changes. Typical throttle response is appx 0.5s as measured by stopwatch. When the issue is replicated the delay can exceed 1 second. This is most concerning during situations where moderate to brisk acceleration is needed at a specific time such as turning across traffic at an intersection or merging with traffic flow with a large speed disparity from one lane to the other. Vehicle has been taken to multiple Ford dealerships multiple times. The ECU and TCU have been reprogrammed and the…
Driver side rear tail light housing has a crack that has allowed moisture to enter the housing. Oct 2025 Took it to dealer to notify of the problem of water getting in the tail light housing once noticed around 500 miles on truck about a month after purchase. Told to make an appointment to get it submitted for warranty. I was able to dry out the tail light housing and epoxied the crack to prevent water from getting back in. When I finally had the time for an appointment with recall service I had the dealer submit the claim April 2026. Ford denied the claim on 5/11/2026 due to GSB26-7012…
