Multiple times while I am driving my 2024 F250 on the highway while using cruise control, my truck's speed limit sign reading system mis-reads the 70 mph speed limit signs as a 35 mph sign and automatically activates emergency braking down to 35 mph unless I disengage the cruise control system. My local dealer confirmed the problem during a test drive, updated the software and advised the problem was solved. However, the same problem occurred several times this weed while I was driving on the highway. I believe that it is only a. matter of time until my truck causes an accident on the highway.
Wrench light on dash comes on sporadically with message that there is a powertrain malfunction / reduced power. It said the system has detected a powertrain or 4 WD fault. Reduced power may put both the driver and others at risk depending on the area in which this occurs, ex interstate. Dealer has yet to remedy problem. Car has been to the dealer service department 4 times for this issue. Codes present are U0121 (lost communication with ABS control module A), U1012 (invalid internal control module data received from ABS control module), and U3035 (communication authentication signal invalidā¦
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-250 SD. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V104000 (Electrical System, Exterior Lighting). The contact stated that while towing a trailer, several messages and warning lights were displayed informing the contact that the trailer was disconnected and that the exterior lights were inoperable. The dealer was contacted and performed the recall repair at the residence; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.
At 5k miles there was an intermittent ticking/grinding noise. Dealer could not reproduce. At 10k it became more frequent. Dealer confirmed noise and found metal shavings in filter. Engine replaced per TSB. New engine failed after 100 miles. Blinking check engine light came on. Dealer inspected. Required Ford Engineer to review. More metal found in new engine. Engine replaced again.
While driving, multiple warning lights illuminate simultaneously ā ABS, brake, and all driver assist/safety systems ā and the drive mode drops to Standard Locked. During these events the anti-lock braking, stability control, traction control, and trailer sway control systems appear to go offline. I have photographs of the illuminated warnings. My own OBD-II scan on 7/9/26 recorded U0121 (lost communication with ABS module), U0415 (invalid data from ABS module), U3035 (communication authentication failure), and U1012. The dealer's own scan confirmed multiple stored "lost communication with ABSā¦
The dealer had attempted to repair the recall 26C10 on my truck that tows daily. The team has attempted to fix this problem with 3 service visits and performed multiple software flashes for Recall 26C10 which have failed to fix the safety defect. The trailer module hardware is bricked. Now Iām being told the module is on national back order and they are unsure what to do next.Ʊ, if this is even the fix. This is a serious safety issue that makes my truck useless for towing which is a major part of our regular use.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-250 SD. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH on the highway, the steering wheel failed to turn as intended. Due to the failure, the vehicle struck a curb. There were no injuries or property damage. The vehicle was turned off, and it was shifted into park(P). The brakes were inoperable during the failure. The vehicle was towed to a dealer to be inspected, and it was determined that a bolt was missing from the steering wheel assembly. The missing bolt was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failureā¦
2024 F250 Super Crew Cab, Single Rear Wheel, King Ranch. While driving on clearly marked highway, Lane Centering immediately begins to "Ping=Pong" or oscillate between clearly marked highway center and shoulder lanes markings. It is not a slow oscillation and if allowed to go unchecked for more than 2-3 complete side to side oscillations will go out of the lines and onto the shoulder. I haven't actually timed the oscillations but I estimate about 4-9 seconds from engaging the system to completion of one oscillation cycle (from center of lane to the left or right line, then over to the otherā¦
Slight vibration at highway speed accompanied by faint grinding noise. Ford installed front auto locker to only one front wheel and a dummy full time locker to right front wheel in non trimmer 2024 f250 and f350s. They know the problem because they issued a tsb 52423 but do not contact truck owners of issue. Having only one locker makes the right side front axel spin at highway speeds and cause noise, vibration and unequal drag on the two front wheels causing the vehicle to drift to the right. Ford knows this, as evident by them going back to two locking auto hubs on 2025 models. My biggerā¦
When you start engine, and it's below normal temp, the engine maintains a high idle rpm and upon shifting to fwd or reverse the truck overpowers the brakes and accelerates rapidly. In reverse it's startling. It's unsafe in parking lots and on street parking.
With 652 miles the vehicle initially went to the Ford Dealership due to pulling to the right on a straightaway road. Itās been back to two different dealerships on four more occasions and the vehicle still pulls hard to the right. Ford engineers have looked at it and the problem canāt be fixed. The vehicle now has 4,000 miles on it.
Headlights on new Platinum 2024 F250--when driving at night there are several issues. On low beam there is a black line that shows up across the upper view. On high beam the black line is even more prominent and shapes start showing up in the lights. Squares first then as you drive and turn they change to V, M and X shapes. (see pictures). The truck has 560 miles on it and it has been to the Ford dealership twice. They are saying that there is nothing wrong with the lights, and these lights are the new projector lights from Ford. They even pulled another Platinum 2024 F250 next to mine toā¦
