The owner's manual does not include instructions for adjusting or removing certain head restraints. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, "Head Restraints."
Risk: Without instructions, the head restraints may be improperly adjusted, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Fix: Ford will mail the Owner's Manual addendums that describe how to adjust and remove the head restraints for the center seating positions, free of charge. Degradation of the camera's anit-reflective lens coating can lead to a foggy or cloudy rearview camera image.
Risk: Lack of a clear rearview camera image can reduce the driver's visibility of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 14, 2023. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-800-1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S51.
Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019 F-150, Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 vehicles. Risk: A rearview camera that displays a blank or distorted image can reduce the drivers view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 20C19.
Structure: Frame And Members: Underbody Shields Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2022 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty vehicles equipped with gasoline engines and aluminum driveshafts. Underbody heat and noise insulators may loosen and contact the aluminum driveshaft, which could damage the driveshaft and cause it to fracture.
Risk: A fractured driveshaft can cause a loss of drive power, or a loss of vehicle control if the driveshaft contacts the ground. Additionally, unintended movement could occur while parked if the parking brake is not engaged. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and repair the driveshaft as necessary, and properly attach the underbody insulators, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 7, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S09.

Risk: Over cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall, resulting in sudden air loss or belt edge separation which could lead to tread/belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the tires, and replace them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2021. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 21S10.

The kits were sold as an accessory for certain 2005-2021 Ford F-250 4X4 and F-350 4X4 pickup trucks. The foam ring inside the stabilizer "through shaft" may block the piston ports, possibly causing the steering to lock up.
Risk: If the steering locks, it can increase the risk of a crash.
Fix: Icon will notify owners, and dealers will install a new shock assembly with a revised foam ring and steel support disc, free of charge. The recall began December 21, 2020. Owners may contact Icon customer service at 1-951-689-4266.

Risk: A vehicle fire could result if materials ignite inside the vehicle.
Fix: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will apply heat resistant tape to the carpet and its insulation, and modify the B-Pillar insulation as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 20, 2020. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 19S52.

Water may enter the electrical wiring system and cause a short circuit, activating the switch and releasing the tailgate latches.
Risk: Unintended tailgate opening may allow unrestrained cargo to fall out of the truck bed and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will modify the tailgate/frame wiring harnesses by adding jumper pigtails to isolate the tailgate release control circuits and will install a new tailgate handle release switch, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 20, 2020. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 19S48.

During the previous repair, the block heater cable's splice connector may have been damaged.
Risk: A damaged cable could cause a resistive short, increasing the risk of overheated or melted wiring, increasing the risk of a fire.
Fix: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will disable the engine block heater from being used. When replacement cables become available, a second notice will be mailed and dealers will replace the engine block heater cord, free of charge. The recall began May 31, 2019. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 19S11.

Wife was driving the truck(I was the passenger) while towing our dump trailer. After approx 100 miles into this trip the dash showed a "Reduced Engine Power Warning", and then shuddered. That was immediately followed by a "Service Engine Soon" warning on the dash, and the truck shut down as we were pulling to the shoulder. I smelled diesel fuel as we slowed to a stop. I got out and saw some smoke coming from under the hood. I looked under the truck and saw burning material falling from underneath, I shouted fire, and my wife exited while I retrieved our dog from the back seat. The cab was…
This model has the same Bosh CP4 high pressure fuel pump as the recalled models 2020-2022 and in fact being older the catastrophic failure risk is higher due to additional mileage. If this part fails the engine shuts off with loss of steering and braking even when pulling 15-20K pounds. The safety concern for this year is the same or greater then newer models.
A steering control module in my steering wheel failed which makes the lane keeping warning not operate correctly and the steering wheel not straight it's set at an angle to the right so when you're driving down the road you have to have it constantly turn to the right a little bit in order to go straight down the road in order to fix it you have to replace the entire steering wheel which is about 3,400 or so.
My rearview camera is showing a distorted image and then goes blank while in reverse creating a safety issue while backing up. The camera is doing everything listed in the following recall campaigns: 20C19/22V252 20C19/24V188 20C19/20V575 but Ford says my truck does not qualify for the recall because my VIN is not listed in the recall.

Due to a recall, the Vehicle computer was reprogrammed by local dealer, Griffith Ford, in San Marcos, Texas. After the reprogramming, the engine and transmission starting to rev differently and could not shift gears smoothly as previous to the reprogramming. The transmission and engine does not synchronize correctly. The transmission tries to do more than 6 speeds when the transmission is a 6 speed transmission. Turbo is also not as smooth as previously. Possibly the new program used to reprogram the computer is either for newer vehicles with different engines and/or transmissions.

In June 2024, I experienced serious sustained steering wheel oscillation to the point of having to stop the vehicle while traveling over 70 mph to regain control before proceeding on my way. I scheduled an appointment with my dealer (Woody Anderson Ford, Huntsville, AL) after July 4th weekend and was assigned an appointment date of August 9, 2024 at 10:00am. In May 2024, after traveling about 47 mph over a semi-diagonal railroad tracks on level pavement, the steering became violent but was recoverable after reducing speed to under 20 mph. This was the second instance. In March 2024, after…
