If the vehicle sits for more than 36 hours, it enters a deep sleep mode and develops an unresolved battery drain issue, rendering it inoperable. This vehicle has been in the shop four times with three battery replacements having less than $30,000 MI if a person or to drive this out of town or park at a rest stop, it could lead them stranded. I also suspect that it could cause other electrical faults, leading to more consequential security issues.
Loud Knocking from engine, CEL illuminated flashing, loss in power and had an active misfire in cyl #2. Upon inspection cyl #2 Spark plug electrode broke off/melted into the cylinder causing a gauge in the cylinder. Vehicle is being dropped off to the dealer for most likely an engine replacement.
At 3k miles the turbocharger and parts within the transmission failed on my 2025 ford maverick, there were no warning lamps or messages on the dash but I had the symptoms of lack of power, the truck struggled to climb hills, it sounded like the turbo sound was coming through the air vents, and going uphill it almost stalled. I took it to one ford dealership who claimed it was normal operation before taking it to one of Fords commercial truck centers who diagnosed a turbo failure and various parts within the transmission have failed.
*** VEHICLE FIRE RISK *** Drivers dash tweeter started smoking and the dash became hot to the touch near the windshield. Smelled something electrical burning. Smoke stain on LWR LH windshield corner. Removed key. Exited vehicle and heard static from drivers door speaker. Entered car, re-started vehicle and static from the one-speaker-only did not stop. Removed key, exited vehicle, and the drivers door speaker was still emitting static sound. About 15 minutes later, the static sound stops and vehicle operates "normal" except for missing/low "high-frequency" on LH side. Suspect that the tweeter…
I bought the vehicle new and after 15,000 miles my electric brake booster is making a noise when I depress the brake pedal. I am concerned the internal mechanism will fail and I will lose the brake booster. The dealer is dismissing it as a normal noise. I have a few friends that have had the same issue and their dealers replaced the electric brake booster and the problem went away.
The contact's employer owns a 2025 Ford Maverick. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH, the pre-collision warning light suddenly activated, and the vehicle abruptly stopped. After pulling over and waiting for several minutes, the contact was able to continue driving. The contact also had whiplash from the failure, and medical attention was needed. The contact mentioned completing 12 sessions of physical therapy. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure reoccurred a week later while…
Structural metal had improper coating that allows for rust. As this rust continues it will weaken the structural components of the truck
2025 Ford Maverick XL EcoBoost AWD with 2,000 lb tow package. Vehicle displays an 'Engine Coolant Over Temperature' warning recurrently at idle and upon initial startup when ambient temperature is 84°F or above. The warning has occurred multiple times under these conditions. Most recently, the warning appeared while the vehicle was stationary at 0 MPH immediately before entering a highway, creating a safety concern. Vehicle currently has 3,911 miles. No prior dealer service visits for this issue. The problem appears to be temperature-dependent and repeatable. Warning is displayed on the…
A year ago while driving on the interstate, my Ford Maverick suddenly threw a "Stop Safely Now" alert. I was able to turn the ignition off and back on to safely exit the highway. The alert came back once I made it to a parking lot and stuck around for a while. I was able to get it started and drove to a Ford dealership that told me it was just a software update. The same issue happened 2 more times before I made it to my destination after leaving the dealership, showing that it actually wasn't caused by a missed software update. Returning from my trip it happened 4th time. Afterward, the issue…
The car has extreme vibration almost like speed wobbles when accelerating. Difficult to steer particularly if accelerating to change lanes. Appears the cv axles / have gone bad. Shocked there is not an active recall for the 2023 model year given the amount of reports of similar issue I have found online.
