2021 model mustang Mache got a new High Voltage Battery Warning on the dashboard and asked to stop the vehicle. My car is Premium trim standard range, but other trims and extended range battery models were recalled for this exact issue earlier, but the premium trim standard range car was not included in recalls. I have read online forums that many people who own standard range cars are seeing this warning suddenly now. Please work with Ford to include standard range cars from 2021 mustang Mache EV to recall for this repair, i think it is also called HVBJB error. I don't have the exact recall…
I was involved in a car accident on the XXX I was in the turn lane and a second vehicle hit my driver side, spun me around, and I ended up facing the opposite direction. What occurred next is my safety complaint. The vehicle continued to travel forward and, in fact, accelerated and I was unable to turn or stop in spite of hitting the brake. It caused me to hit a third vehicle and I stopped short of a gas line. There was a recall on this vehicle 22S29. The issue was a functional safety monitor software fault which potentially caused unintended acceleration, unintended deceleration, or…
The Pre-Collision Assist becomes suddenly unavailable when driving over uneven surfaces, including bumps and rumble strips. When the service center of my local ford dealer investigated this code, they discovered it is a software issue, and the only way to remedy the problem is to perform 5 software updates and an alignment: The updates are on: IPMA, PSCM, CCM, CMR, PDW. IPMA alignment. There are no other solutions to correct the issue to prevent the safety feature from failing. The impact of this failure is an increased chance of a collision due to sudden loss of front collision detection.
This is linked to tracking case 11768528. I wanted to provide the tsb: 23-2040. The fault causes the pre-collision assist to become disabled.
While accelerating on a highway on-ramp, the vehicle displayed Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power, a High-Voltage Battery Warning. Power was reduced while merging into traffic. The same warnings appeared at about 90,000 miles and cleared on their own. This is a Standard Range RWD Mach-E, which was excluded from the high-voltage battery junction box recall. The vehicle was towed to AutoNation Ford Katy and diagnosed with HVBJB failure. Loss of propulsion at highway speeds is a safety hazard. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether Standard Range vehicles should be included in the…
My 2021 Mustang MachE experienced a failure of the relay which connects its high-voltage battery to the rest of the car. The car is an EV, and the result of this is that the drive-motor had no power, and the car would not move. I would like to ask, please, that all model years with this known-issue (HVBJB - high voltage battery junction box) be recalled.
I own a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Standard Range RWD. My vehicle has experienced a high-voltage powertrain malfunction involving the high-voltage battery system/HV Battery Junction Box (HVBJB). The vehicle is currently at a Ford dealership for diagnosis and repair. What concerns me is that the same high-voltage/powertrain warning appeared on my vehicle previously, before the vehicle reached 100,000 miles. The warning appeared in my FordPass history, then went away. The vehicle later developed the same type of warning again, and the problem has now resulted in a current high-voltage powertrain…
My 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E suffered a total loss of motive power on the road, throwing code P0D10:00:AF for a stuck-open high-voltage contactor. This is the exact failure mode of Safety Recall 23S56. Ford is refusing to cover the repair because my VIN was omitted from the database and the vehicle is at 108,017 miles, treating a hazardous powertrain defect as an out-of-warranty consumer expense. I have an active case number with Ford.
The HVBJB ($3500 + Tax) went on my car. It is out of battery system warranty by 25,000 miles (ended at 100,000 miles, I have 125,000 miles). I called Ford Corporate and they said they "have no current programs" to give me any good will discount on the repair. This is a big, known issue with Mustang Mach-e's There was a recall for this HVBJB part / system on many of the 2021 models, but somehow mine wasn't included in the recall. I cannot afford this repair, and I was hoping the NHTSA can get involved to get me some financial relief from Ford. There was also a safety issue as this morning when…
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. While the contact's daughter was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle independently accelerated. The brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred while the vehicle was being parked in the residence driveway. The vehicle crashed into the right side of the residence before coming to a stop. The air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that the right side of the garage was damaged. No injuries were sustained. The contact stated…
Vehicle: 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 56,005 I am filing this complaint to bring to NHTSA's attention a safety concern regarding Ford Motor Company's decision to make the Blue Cruise driver-assistance system available only via a paid subscription beginning January 2027, at a cost of $49.99 per month. Blue Cruise is a hands-free highway driving assistance system — a Level 2 driver-assistance safety technology. The hardware enabling this system was installed in my vehicle at the time of purchase and was represented as a feature of the vehicle. Ford is now moving to disable this…
After recall-related software updates were performed on my 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E, the vehicle began experiencing repeated electrical and climate control failures. The heating and defrost system stopped working, leaving the vehicle without heat and causing the windows to fog, which reduces visibility in cold weather and creates unsafe driving conditions. The vehicle has been taken to multiple authorized Ford dealerships for inspection and repair; however, the problem returned immediately after the repair. The issue was reproduced and confirmed by a second dealer. A required part is currently…
