The software with the additional feature sets the Instrument panel Wrench light and de-rates the engine performance if prolonged clutch slip is detected. The software feature includes a drive cycle strategy for latching the wrench light and engine performance de-rate if the customer should experience repeated clutch slip events. For vehicles that do not have Engine Stop Start feature an alternative clutch kit has been released.
UK DVSAThe engine cylinder head may crack
Risk: Localized overheating of the engine cylinder head may cause the cylinder head to crack. This may cause a pressurized oil leak which in extreme circumstances could result in a fire in the engine compartment.
Fix: On affected vehicles Inspect engine and cooling system. Replace affected components and fit a Coolant Level Sensor along with associated software to provide and audible and visual warning to the driver.

Risk: It has been identified that the mating surface of the vehicle body for the panoramic glass roof panel may have been contaminated during the primer phase of the instigation process. There is a possibility that this could cause poor adhesion between the panoramic glass roof panel and the vehicle body. This could result in wind noise water leaks and in the worst cases detachment of the panoramic glass roof.
Fix: Recall all affected vehicles to remove clean body and re-bond the panoramic glass roof panel.

The backup camera on the Ford Transit Connect 2014 has failed, making the vehicle unsafe, particularly for backing over pedestrians or small children difficult to see in mirrors. For starters, about 2-3 days before August 6, 2024 (the day I took my van to Autozone to diagnose my check engine light) my ford transit shot a check engine light due to a "P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire". On August 8, 2024 after dropping my van off once the mechanic opened, around 11:27 AM i received a call from the mechanic I was referred to by the dealership I bought the van from that the car was fixed and ready to go. I was also told by one of the mechanics that work at the shop that the threading on the spark plugs were stripped, these were the original spark plugs that came with the vehicle…
Hello. We were passing a tractor trailer on the interstate and at 75 mph the transmission shifted into low gear all by itself. We never went into passing gear just accelerating. The vehicle nosedived, rpm’s went up, blew the transmission fluid out all over the exhaust with major smoke, threw us into the dash, and went to about 5 mph all in about .5 seconds leaving us in the middle of the interstate in 5:00 traffic. Tractor trailers stopped and let us get the vehicle to the side .If my daughter had not been behind us I’m sure one of the tractor trailers would have hit us because my brake lights…
contacted local ford dealership for recall repairs (Johnson City Ford). they state there are not any recalls for a 2014 ford transit connect and would not schedule the repairs.
Vehicle is currently being repaired at a Ford dealer. They have diagnosed the malfunction as a fuel pump failure and have ordered replacement parts. I will ask the service center to save the parts. The vehicle lost power in the fast lane of I5. Traffic was moving at or above the 70 MPH posted speed limit including large trucks. I was able to turn on the 4 way flashers, change lanes, and move the vehicle to the shoulder out of traffic, but the situation could have easily resulted in a collision due to the abrupt loss of power. It was towed to the Ford dealer 15 miles from the incident when it…
Air bubble in coolant system caused by faulty placement of heater core allows air bubble to form there. This cause no heat or defrost in cab of vehicle. Also causes overheating which leads to cracked block, coolant leak into combustion chamber, destroying catalytic converter and emissions to soar and fuel milage to drop. Engine stumbles and stalls and goes into fail safe mode which could cause an accident because vehicle won’t accelerate or shift.
