Is the 2023 Ford Transit recalled in the UK or Europe?
Recalls issued by the UK's DVSA and through the EU's Safety Gate system that cover this model and build period. European models can differ from U.S. ones, and "years estimated" means the recall gave no build dates, so confirm your own car with your registration or VIN.
UK DVSA25C56 Transit - Potential Incorrect CO2 Emissions Recorded On The Certificate Of Conformity
Risk: On affected vehicles the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) may contain inaccurate CO2 data. As a result the CoCs state a lower CO2 value than intended.
Fix: Dealers will exchange CoC papers and help owners update their vehicle’s registration documentation. Ford will reimburse any underpaid purchase tax due as a result of the vehicle’s re-registration.
UK DVSATransit and Transit Custom – 12V Battery Venting25SE6 – Transit and Transit Custom – 12V Battery Venting
Risk: Affected vehicles may have 12V batteries that have been incorrectly vented allowing any potential venting to be directed into the cabin.
Fix: Inspect the battery and replace if required. Fit a battery vent tube to expel any gases.
UK DVSAFrozen Rearview Camera Screen
Risk: On affected vehicles there is a potential software issue causing the rear-view camera not to function as intended.
Fix: Update the Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) software to the latest level.
UK DVSACrossCar: Sync3 Rear-View Camera Software Update
Risk: On affected vehicles a software problem may result in issues with the rear-view camera that reduce the driver’s view or with it remaining on after a reversing event.
Fix: Update the vehicle software to the latest level.
UK DVSA24B36 Transit - Chassis Inspection
Risk: Ford constantly monitors production processes and vehicles in operation. While monitoring vehicles in operation we have become aware of a number of Transit Chassis vehicles which may require a strengthening plate to be fitted to the vehicle’s chassis. The strengthening plate is precautionary and will provide additional strength and durability for the life of the vehicle.
Fix: The Ford dealer will visually inspect the affected chassis section for any initial damage and will install a reinforcement plate to prevent any potential future deformation.
UK DVSATransit Skeletal Chassis Inspection
Risk: On affected vehicles there may be damage to a section of the vehicle’s chassis.
Fix: Check the vehicle chassis and if found with a defect in the areas shown the manufacturer will buy back the vehicle.
UK DVSA24S57 Transit Rear hub bearing
Risk: Affected vehicles may experience a lack of lubrication to the rear wheel bearings leading to premature failure.
Fix: Check of vehicles current mileage and where necessary inspect bearing to ensure full lubrication with parts replaced as necessary.
UK DVSA24S30 Transit - Incorrect trailer tow installed
Risk: A small number of Transit vehicles have been manufactured with an incorrect tow bar that does not meet the correct load specifications. It is important for the affected vehicles to be returned to a Ford Authorised Dealer. If the tow load is in excess of 2600kg this could potentially result in the trailer becoming detached or the tow bar assembly being damaged. A detached trailer or a damaged tow bar could increase the risk of an accident.
Fix: Install the correct tow bar free of charge parts and labour.
UK DVSATransit Rear Brake Line Inspection24S22 – Transit Rear Brake Line Inspection
Risk: The wrong brake line hose may have been installed on the right rear. The longer brake line could create a touch condition with the rear wheel which could in turn cause a brake fluid leak. In the event of a leak you may notice a soft brake pedal feel and a red warning light will illuminate in the cluster. The brake system has two separate diagonal brake line circuits and in the event of one brake line circuit failure the vehicle is able to stop with the functionality of the secondary brake circuit. If the brake lines on both sides were to fail it may lead to a loss of brake function.
Fix: Inspect and replace with correct hose.
UK DVSATransit Skeletal Chassis Inspection
Risk: While monitoring vehicles in operation we have become aware of a number of Transit Chassis vehicles may have damage to a section of the vehicle’s chassis. The chassis is the structural element of the vehicle.
Fix: Inspect and replace vehicle if required possible reworking.

Risk: The SYNC screen may display a blue or black image when the vehicle is placed in reverse or when the 360 degree view is selected and available (during low-speed operation).
Fix: Replace rear camera and update software

The RV is a built on a 2023 Ford Transit Trail 350 chassis, but the vehicle is registered as 2025 as [XXX] completed the conversion to a Class B motorhome in XXX. Upon purchase, it was not disclosed to me by Ford or La Mesa Rec Van in [XXX] that the vehicle was speed limited to 81 mpg. I went to pass a car on a two lane highway when a passing lane opened up. The vehicle I was passing started to accelerate (not sure if it was intentional or not). I realized I was running out of the passing lane and there was a tractor trailer heading…
Followup on previous complaint. Manufacturer unable to perform recall on body because of lift package. Package was installed by manufacturer. Manufacturer releasing vehicle back to consumer as unrepairable, creating a possible deadly risk to both consumer and to highways.
Secondary alternator fails to charge lithium battery bank.
Ford states they are unable to repair this recall #26V061 because the van is lifted, which was a marketing strategy done by Ford on the assembly line. They want the customer to shop dealers and see if anyone can do it. Ford customer service referred problem back to customer
The rearview/360-degree camera system on my 2023 Ford Transit 350 continues to fail, resulting in the rearview camera image and/or other camera views becoming unavailable. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This is a large passenger van with significant blind areas, and the loss of the rearview camera creates a serious safety concern when backing, parking, or maneuvering around pedestrians, children, vehicles, or other objects. When the system fails, I can place the vehicle in reverse and not have the rear camera image that I depend on to see the area immediately behind the…
