At this point i was checking the gauges and all were at normal operating temperatures, but as I sat there watching the temperature gauge began to rise rapidly with the engine off. The engine was seized and had to be towed.

The component that failed was the fuel pump control module, which the dealership currently has in its possession. While driving on the interstate at 70 mph with my family of five—including three young children—the vehicle suddenly lost all motor power. This left us stranded on the shoulder for three hours waiting for a tow truck, completely without heat or AC. Once the vehicle was towed to the dealership, they confirmed the fuel pump module failure. There were no warning lamps, error messages, or prior symptoms; the engine simply stopped running. Fortunately, there were no injuries or crashes…
The vehicle was being driven from work to home on the interstate, when a loud ticking/knocking noise was heard while exiting the interstate.
