Has the 2021 Jaguar I-PACE been recalled?
6 U.S. safety recalls. Repairs are free at a franchised dealer; some are done over the air.
Electrical System: Propulsion System: Traction Battery Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Jaguar I-PACE vehicles. The high voltage battery may overheat.
Risk: A high voltage battery that overheats increases the risk of a fire.
Fix: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures, charge outside, and limit their charge to a maximum of 90% until the recall repair is complete. As an interim repair, the battery software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update to limit the state of charge to 90%. The final remedy is currently under development. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed April 2, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Jaguar's customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's numbers for this recall are H570, H571, and H572. This recall replaces NHTSA recall numbers 23V369, 23V709, and 24V085. Vehicles repaired under one or more of the previous recalls will need to have the new remedy completed.
Exterior Lighting: Turn Signal Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Jaguar I-Pace vehicles. In the event that one of the turn signals stops working, the turn signal flash rate frequency will not adjust to warn the driver that a turn signal is not working correctly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Risk: Inoperative rear turn signals may not notify other drivers of a turning vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will update the Car Configuration File (CCF) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 8, 2024. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H475.
Electrical System: Propulsion System: Traction BatteryPark outside Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2019-2023 I-PACE vehicles previously repaired under recall 23V-369. The previous repair may not have been completed correctly, and still allow the high-voltage battery to overheat.
Risk: The high-voltage battery overheating increases the risk of a fire.
Fix: Owners are advised to park and charge their vehicle outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete, and for 30 days after the repair has been completed. Dealers will update the battery energy control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 11, 2023. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Is the 2021 Jaguar I-PACE recalled in the UK or Europe?
Recalls issued by the UK's DVSA and through the EU's Safety Gate system that cover this model and build period. European models can differ from U.S. ones, and "years estimated" means the recall gave no build dates, so confirm your own car with your registration or VIN.
UK DVSA2019 to 2021 Model Year Jaguar I-PACE Battery Fire or Smoke
Risk: Some vehicles have experienced thermal overload in the high voltage traction battery pack which may present as smoke or fire. Since the installation of protective software field evidence has shown that there remains a risk of thermal overload in vehicles with battery packs manufactured up to the end of 2021 model year.
Fix: As an interim repair the vehicles will have software installed to restrict the maximum state of charge to 90% whilst a permanent remedy is developed.
UK DVSAI-PACE High Voltage battery loose busbar fixings
Risk: On affected vehicles the fasteners for the battery module to module electrical connecting busbars may not be sufficiently secure.
Fix: The busbar fixings will be inspected and as required new components installed.

How often does the 2021 Jaguar I-PACE fail its MOT?
Why they failed: the share of failed tests with at least one fault in each area (a test can fail on several). Cars first registered in 2021, tested in Great Britain in 2023; first registration is usually, but not always, the model year. Source: DVSA anonymised MOT tests and results, Open Government Licence v3.0.
What do 2021 Jaguar I-PACE owners report?
2 of the 2 complaints, the most recent for the most-reported components, as the owners wrote them. NHTSA removes names and VINs; long reports are trimmed. CarHooq has not verified individual claims.
On [XXX], at approximately [XXX], I was a passenger in a Waymo autonomous vehicle traveling from [XXX] to Alamo Drafthouse New Mission in San Francisco, CA (fare 16.94). After exiting, I realized I had left my keys in the backseat. While standing outside the vehicle, I called Waymo phone support and asked the agent to stop/ground the car so I could retrieve my keys. Support did not stop the vehicle; it drove off with my keys inside. The vehicle's subsequent movements were tracked via an AirTag on the keychain: [XXX] at 6:28 PM; [XXX] around 6:53 PM; [XXX] around 7:50 PM. Waymo lost-item casesโฆ
Waymo vehicle made a sudden merge into my vehicle's lane despite only about 1 car space between me and another vehicle in front when the Waymo's lane was blocked. I had to swerve my car hard left to avoid the Waymo from colliding into my vehicle.

Counts are a starting point, not a verdict: popular models collect more complaints because more of them are on the road, and NHTSA does not verify individual reports. To see whether a recall is still open on your car, enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls (U.S.) or your registration at check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk (UK). Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA; complaints are what trigger investigations and recalls.
