Is the 2013 Jaguar XF recalled in the UK or Europe?
Recalls issued by the UK's DVSA and through the EU's Safety Gate system that cover this model and build period. European models can differ from U.S. ones, and "years estimated" means the recall gave no build dates, so confirm your own car with your registration or VIN.
UK DVSASecurity Guidance
Risk: Jaguar Land Rover in conjunction with law enforcement and insurance bodies is aware of the increase in thefts of vehicles in specific geographical locations within the United Kingdom. There is no fault with Jaguar Land Rover's security systems and they continue to meet stringent automotive legislation. Jaguar Land Rover is offering owners guidance on how to maximise vehicle security and protect against theft
Fix: Vehicle registered keepers will be sent a security guidance letter only - there is no repair action.
UK DVSASide curtain airbag may not deploy
Risk: The electrical harness from the Restraints Control Module (RCM) to side crash sensors has been incorrectly orientated. The RCM signal wire for the right hand C Pillar impact sensor is wired to the left hand C Pillar impact sensor and vice versa. In the event of a collision requiring the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) to deploy the curtain airbags they may not deploy or deploy later than design intent which can lead to increased injuries to the rear outboard seat occupant.
Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and repair the harness to change the wiring at the RCM connector.
UK DVSAFuel may leak / risk of fire
Risk: It has been identified that the fuel delivery line/pipe may not have been installed to the correct specification. This could result in the incorrect tolerance between the fuel line/pipe and the vehicle under shield and the body. This can result in a chaffing condition and fuel leak. This will be highlighted to the driver by either a smell of fuel or pooling of fuel under the vehicle.
Fix: Recall the affected vehicles to inspect the clearance between the under shield and the body and carry out remedial work as required which may only be the fitment of additional retaining clips or the replacement of any damaged fuel line/pipe.
UK DVSAPossible loss of steering assistance
Risk: The auxiliary drive belt pulley retainer may fail and cause loss of drive to auxiliary items including the water pump and power steering pump. This may cause an engine management lamp to illuminate engine overheating or a reduction in steering assistance though steering control will be maintained.
Fix: On affected vehicles replace auxiliary belt idler pulley and retainer.
UK DVSADriver's front airbag may fail to deploy correctly
Risk: Due to incorrect assembly the driver's airbag may not fully deploy during certain high speed collision conditions.
Fix: On affected vehicles replace driver's airbag
UK DVSAVehicle may cut out
Risk: A fault could cause the fuel tank fuel pump to stop working. This will cause fuel starvation to the engine and will result in the engine cutting out without warning.
Fix: Fitting of an overlay wiring harness. The overlay wiring harness reconfigures the electrical distribution to the FPDM to utilize a relay to supply the fuel pump power feed. The relay is not affected by the in rush current drawn by the fuel pump and so ensures robust operation.
UK DVSABraking efficiency may be affected
Risk: It has been identified that the right hand rear brake pipe can suffer a dynamic fouling condition on a redundant bracket on the rear subframe. If not corrected this can eventually result in the pipe wearing through. This condition will result in loss of brake fluid which will illuminate a warning light on the instrument panel. However there is the possibility of the reduction of braking effluence due to the loss of one brake circuit and possible instability of the vehicle.
Fix: Recall all affected vehicles to check the brake pipe and manipulate the redundant bracket on the rear subframe. If the brake pipe is found to be damaged then the brake pipe will be replaced.
UK DVSADirectional control may be compromised
Risk: A concern has been identified where in the event of prolonged aggressive driving it is possible that the rear toe link will separate from the rear sub-frame. In this event vehicle stability will be compromised and degree of directional control minimised which increases the risk of an accident.
Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the nut and washer assembly on the rear toe link with components of revised design.
UK DVSAFire may occur
Risk: It is possible that a leak can occur between the injector spill rail connection and the plastic fuel return pipe. This can cause leakage of fuel which can either pool on the engine cylinder head and then become deposited onto the road surface where it could cause a skid risk to other motorist or if the fuel comes into contact with extremely hot engine components an exhaust manifold for instance it is possible that an under bonnet fire could ensue.
Fix: Recall all affected vehicles inspect the fuel spill rail/return pipe and if required replace the spill rail with a new modified rail.
UK DVSAEngine may cut out
Risk: It has been established that the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) hoses and resonator pipe have not been assembled to the correct specification. It is therefore possible that under certain conditions the CAC hose can detach from the resonator. This could result in the engine cutting out and possible loss of vacuum assistance for the brake servo.
Fix: Recall the affected vehicle and rectify the issue.
UK DVSAEngine may cut out
Risk: A fault could cause the fuel tank fuel pump to stop working.

To the best of my ability id like to explain why my car does not operate . i have taken my car to two jaguar dealership and have talked to Rocco' s European car repair shop as well and the all say that what is defective with my car is the central junction box. When I asked them all as to why this does not function they all said its a known problem with the car specifically due to "water ingress" leaking from the windshield wiper pump and on to the underside of the Central junction box and my wires are corroded and cause electrical failure as the say water and electricity are not a safeโฆ
The car employs a start/stop system to shut the engine when stopped. When it restarts the engine, the idle speed drops to about 400 RPM (half normal idle) and surges when it recovers. It has also stalled several times. I've asked the dealership to fix this, but when at the dealer, the system would not shut the engine so they have not verified the issue. The first safety issue happens if the driver is not expecting the surge resulting in sudden acceleration. The second issue happened when the car stalled at an intersection with other cars trying to get by. This has happened many times since Iโฆ
