In the affected vehicles, the Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) belt, Power Assisted Steering (PAS) pump pulley and/or battery positive cable at the alternator may detach.
Risk: If the battery positive cable loosens, an electrical short may result, increasing the risk of a fire. If the FEAD belt looses or detaches, the vehicle may lose power assisted steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Jaguar has notified owners, and dealers will inspect the affected engine mounted components for the proper threading and torque, correcting them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began November 10, 2014. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J044.
Is the 2015 Jaguar XF recalled in the UK or Europe?
Recalls issued by the UK's DVSA and through the EU's Safety Gate system that cover this model and build period. European models can differ from U.S. ones, and "years estimated" means the recall gave no build dates, so confirm your own car with your registration or VIN.
UK DVSASecurity Guidance
Risk: Jaguar Land Rover in conjunction with law enforcement and insurance bodies is aware of the increase in thefts of vehicles in specific geographical locations within the United Kingdom. There is no fault with Jaguar Land Rover's security systems and they continue to meet stringent automotive legislation. Jaguar Land Rover is offering owners guidance on how to maximise vehicle security and protect against theft
Fix: Vehicle registered keepers will be sent a security guidance letter only - there is no repair action.
UK DVSAVehicles failed to achieve required levels of co2 emissions
Risk: Vehicles failed to routinely achieve the required levels of CO2 emissions.
Fix: Solutions include hardware and software changes.
UK DVSASide curtain airbag may not deploy
Risk: The electrical harness from the Restraints Control Module (RCM) to side crash sensors has been incorrectly orientated. The RCM signal wire for the right hand C Pillar impact sensor is wired to the left hand C Pillar impact sensor and vice versa. In the event of a collision requiring the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) to deploy the curtain airbags they may not deploy or deploy later than design intent which can lead to increased injuries to the rear outboard seat occupant.
Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and repair the harness to change the wiring at the RCM connector.
UK DVSAFuel may leak / risk of fire
Risk: It has been identified that the fuel delivery line/pipe may not have been installed to the correct specification. This could result in the incorrect tolerance between the fuel line/pipe and the vehicle under shield and the body. This can result in a chaffing condition and fuel leak. This will be highlighted to the driver by either a smell of fuel or pooling of fuel under the vehicle.
Fix: Recall the affected vehicles to inspect the clearance between the under shield and the body and carry out remedial work as required which may only be the fitment of additional retaining clips or the replacement of any damaged fuel line/pipe.
UK DVSADiesel fuel may leak and in extreme circumstances create risk of fire
Risk: Due to a misrouted fuel pipe a metal hose clip my chafe against a nylon fuel pipe and may cause a fuel leak
Fix: On affected vehicles reroute piping and replace any damaged pipes.
UK DVSAPossible loss of steering assistance
Risk: The auxiliary drive belt pulley retainer may fail and cause loss of drive to auxiliary items including the water pump and power steering pump. This may cause an engine management lamp to illuminate engine overheating or a reduction in steering assistance though steering control will be maintained.
Fix: On affected vehicles replace auxiliary belt idler pulley and retainer.
UK DVSADriver's front airbag may fail to deploy correctly
Risk: Due to incorrect assembly the driver's airbag may not fully deploy during certain high speed collision conditions.
Fix: On affected vehicles replace driver's airbag
UK DVSAEngine may cut out and fail to restart
Risk: The under bonnet low pressure fuel feed hose may detach from the fuel filter. A fuel smell may be noticed due to fuel leaking into the engine bay and in the event of hose detachment the engine will cut out. Once the engine has cut out the brake vacuum reservoir will be depleted after 2-3 brake pedal depressions and the vehicle will lose brake power assistance however foundation brakes continue to operate. The engine cannot be re-started. Engine cut out with minimal warning could potentially cause a crash.
Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and add a spring wire retention clip to the low pressure fuel feed hose joint.
UK DVSARisk of fire
Risk: The positive cable fixing to the alternator may come loose and lead to an elevated risk of fire. Additionally there are concerns raised regarding the fixings for the engine mounted belt driven ancillaries. If the fixings fail power assistance to the steering can be lost and more input from the driver will be required to steer the vehicle.
Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to inspect and torque the front ancillary fixings to the correct specification.

My vehicle has about 68k miles, I have always serviced the vehicle properly. While driving the car my steering locked up and my vehicle lost all power on a busy road with my children in the car. Luckily we are safe but this is very dangerous. I have had the car inspected by several certified and insured mechanics and the engine pulley broke off of my engine block causing my entire engine and steering to shut down. Every mechanic says this is not normal and should not have happened at this mileage or without a huge impact and they all agree it is a safety hazard especially since the car gave no…
I was pulling onto my street and my steering wheel locked. The car was still running and the message said battery not charging. I had never experienced this. I panicked and powered the car off in the middle of the street. I turned it back it i could move forward but the steering wheel was locked. I got the car towed. 3 times because only jaguar can fix the problem. It’s the crankshaft pulley. My issue is my car is a 2015. There was a recall on this part March 2016. It was fixed by the dealership June 2016. I purchased the car January 2017. How is it that this part has gone bad so fast. Also…

TURBOCHARGER MALFUNCTION ON VEHICLE AT 35,000 MILES
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND NOTICED MY CAR DID NOT WANT TO PULL WHEN I SPED UP. A FEW MORE MILES DOWN THE ROAD I NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM MY TAIL PIPE AND THE MY AIR VENTS. SO I PULLED OVER, GOT OUT, AND WALKED AROUND TO THE FRONT OF THE CAR AND NOTICED WHAT LOOKED LIKE OIL ON THE SIDE OF MY CAR. BY THIS TIME FIRE STARTED COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. WITHIN MINUTES MY CAR WAS BLAZING AND A TOTAL LOSS. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CAR? THAT'S WHAT I REALLY WANT TO KNOW. HOW DOES A 2015 JAGUAR WITH ONLY 36,000 CATCH AND FIRE AND BURN UP.
I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM THE MANUFACTURER DATED FEBRUARY 28, 2018. IT STATES THAT PARTS FOR THE REMEDY WON'T BE AVAILABLE UNTIL MARCH 31, 2019. DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE RECALL I DON'T BELIEVE THIS IS A "REASONABLE TIMEFRAME" FOR A FIX. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS OR RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER THAT IS CONCERNED WITH THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY?
THERE WAS A FUEL LEAK CAUSED BY A WIRE CONTAINING A HOLE IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE CAUSING THE CAR TO SMELL LIKE GASOLINE WHEN SITTING INSIDE. POSSIBLY, CAUSED BY THE TOP OF THE CAR RUBBING AGAINST THE WIRE, DUE TO INSUFFICIENT CLEARANCE. SERVICE ADVISOR MENTIONED THAT THIS WAS NOT DUE TO THE OWNER/DRIVER'S FAULT AND IT MAKES THE CAR UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO POSSIBILITY OF A FIRE. THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW RECALLS BY JAGUAR CONCERNING THIS EXACT ISSUE, BUT JAGUAR SAYS MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED SIMPLY BECAUSE MY VIN DOES NOT MATCH.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JAGUAR XF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AND COMING TO A STOP, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE LEFT INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,300. MA 10/16/15 *CN

Counts are a starting point, not a verdict: popular models collect more complaints because more of them are on the road, and NHTSA does not verify individual reports. To see whether a recall is still open on your car, enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls (U.S.) or your registration at check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk (UK). Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA; complaints are what trigger investigations and recalls.
