Has the 2017 Jaguar XF been recalled?
2 U.S. safety recalls. Repairs are free at a franchised dealer; some are done over the air.
Electrical System: Instrument Cluster/Panel Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jaguar XF and F-Pace, 2016-2017 Jaguar XJ and 2018 Jaguar XE vehicles. The instrument cluster (IC) may intermittently go blank.
Risk: A blank instrument cluster will not show important information like vehicle speed, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 19, 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H056.
Fuel System, Gasoline: Delivery: Hoses, Lines/Piping, And Fittings Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2017 XF vehicles. The affected vehicles may have a cracked left hand inner sill panel. In the event of a crash involving a left hand impact, the cracked sill panel may result in the underfloor fuel lines rupturing and leaking fuel.
Risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Fix: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicle's left inner sill panel. If cracks are found, Jaguar will repurchase the vehicle and supply the customer with a new vehicle, free of charge. The recall began April 7, 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is K458.
Is the 2017 Jaguar XF recalled in the UK or Europe?
Recalls issued by the UK's DVSA and through the EU's Safety Gate system that cover this model and build period. European models can differ from U.S. ones, and "years estimated" means the recall gave no build dates, so confirm your own car with your registration or VIN.
UK DVSASecurity Guidance
Risk: Jaguar Land Rover in conjunction with law enforcement and insurance bodies is aware of the increase in thefts of vehicles in specific geographical locations within the United Kingdom. There is no fault with Jaguar Land Rover's security systems and they continue to meet stringent automotive legislation. Jaguar Land Rover is offering owners guidance on how to maximise vehicle security and protect against theft
Fix: Vehicle registered keepers will be sent a security guidance letter only - there is no repair action.
UK DVSAVehicles failed to achieve required levels of co2 emissions
Risk: Vehicles failed to routinely achieve the required levels of CO2 emissions.
Fix: Solutions include hardware and software changes.
UK DVSAThe vehicle failed to routinely achieve the required levels of co2 emissions
Risk: Vehicles failed to routinely achieve the required levels of CO2 emissions.
Fix: Update the vehicle software to the latest version.
UK DVSAFuel may leak
Risk: The brazing of the fuel rail end caps is inconsistent and may not correctly seal the fuel rail ends. Fuel vapour and liquid fuel leaks can occur over time. This can lead to a liquid fuel leak into the engine bay.
Fix: On affected vehicles replace the fuel rail with a correctly manufactured version.
UK DVSASupplementary restraint system (srs) may not perform as intended in a collision
Risk: The calibration of the Restraints control Module does not provide the correct fire signals in the event of a collision. In the event of a collision the supplementary Restraint System may not provide the level of protection required to the driver and front passenger and front seat occupants leading to an increased risk of injury.
Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and download the correct software to the vehicle.
UK DVSAInstrument cluster may intermittently go blank
Risk: Due to a software issue the Instrument cluster may intermittently go blank.
Fix: Affected vehicles will be recalled to have the latest software installed/downloaded.
UK DVSANo occupancy detection mat fitted in front passenger seat
Risk: The nearside front passenger detection mat was not fitted during production of the seat. No alarm or warning lamp will warn the driver if the front passenger has not fastened the seatbelt.
Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit an occupancy detection mat to the front passenger seat.
UK DVSAFuel hose may leak
Risk: The fuel return hose may leak. Increased fuel odour may be noticed and drivers may also observe liquid fuel puddles underneath the vehicle. It is possible that fuel may leak onto the road surface which can present a skid hazard to other road users increasing the risk of a crash. Should leaking fuel come into contact with a sufficiently hot surface in the engine bay there will be an increased risk of fire.
Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the fuel return hose.
UK DVSAInner sill may be cracked
Risk: On affected vehicles the Left Hand Inner Sill Panel may be cracked. During an impact on the left hand side there is a risk that underfloor fuel lines will be ruptured and result in fuel leaking from the vehicle.
Fix: If the inner sill panel on an affected is cracked the manufacturer will repurchase the vehicle and the customer will be supplied with a new vehicle.

On May 2, 2026, ten days after purchasing the vehicle, the driver‑side seatbelt locking mechanism failed while I was driving. The vehicle was inspected the next day at CarMax Tuscaloosa. Their mechanic confirmed two separate safety defects: 1. The driver‑side seatbelt mechanism requires replacement. 2. The motor mounts are broken/loose and require replacement. The mechanic explained that debris was found inside the seatbelt mechanism, and the seatbelt needed full replacement. He also confirmed that the motor mounts were broken/loose, which can cause excessive engine movement, vibration, loss…

Counts are a starting point, not a verdict: popular models collect more complaints because more of them are on the road, and NHTSA does not verify individual reports. To see whether a recall is still open on your car, enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls (U.S.) or your registration at check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk (UK). Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA; complaints are what trigger investigations and recalls.
