Has the 2014 Jeep Wrangler been recalled?
4 U.S. safety recalls. Repairs are free at a franchised dealer; some are done over the air.
Seat Belts: Front: Anchorage Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2011-2018 Jeep Wrangler right hand drive vehicles. The driver's seat belt buckle mounting strap may fracture and separate from the seat frame.
Risk: A separated or severed seat belt buckle strap will result in an inoperable seat belt, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Fix: FCA US will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's seat belt buckle, free of charge. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk were mailed November 19, 2019. Owners will received a second letter and the recall began March 26, 2020. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is VA6.
Air Bags: Frontal: Passenger Side: Inflator ModuleDo not drive Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2010 Dodge Ram 3500, Ram 4500/5500, 2010-2011 Dodge Dakota, 2010-2014 Dodge Challenger, 2010-2015 Dodge Challenger, Chrysler 300, and 2010-2016 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode.
Risk: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger's frontal air bag, the inflator could explode with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants potentially resulting in serious injury or death.
Fix: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the recall repair is complete. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began February 4, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is V01.
Air Bags: Frontal: Driver Side: Inflator Module Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2011-2016 Right Hand Drive Jeep Wrangler vehicles manufactured February 16, 2010, to May 2, 2016. The clockspring assembly may become contaminated with dust and cause the air bag circuit to fail.
Risk: Failure of the air bag circuit may prevent the driver's frontal air bag from deploying in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the clockspring, wheel back cover, and column shroud, free of charge. The recall began on August 11, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S40.
Tires: Pressure Monitoring And Regulating Systems Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2014 Chrysler Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles manufactured March 20, 2014, to April 22, 2014, and 2014 Jeep Wrangler vehicles manufactured March 21, 2014, to April 22, 2014. Due to a software error, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may fail to learn the locations of the individual sensors while the vehicle is being driven. As a result, the low tire pressure warning light will illuminate, despite the the tire pressures being within specification. Should one of the tires lose air pressure, the driver would not be notified of the change in air pressure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."
Risk: If the TPMS light illuminates because the sensors cannot be located, it could mask an actual low tire pressure condition, possibly resulting in tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will reprogram the TPMS module, free of charge. The recall began on October 23, 2014. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P63.
Is the 2014 Jeep Wrangler recalled in the UK or Europe?
Recalls issued by the UK's DVSA and through the EU's Safety Gate system that cover this model and build period. European models can differ from U.S. ones, and "years estimated" means the recall gave no build dates, so confirm your own car with your registration or VIN.
UK DVSAPassenger airbag inflator
Risk: Passenger air bag may deploy incorrectly if activated.
Fix: Replace the passenger air bag inflator.
UK DVSAPassenger Airbag inflator
Risk: The front passenger airbag inflator (PAB) may contain propellant that could possibly degrade over a period of time. This may cause metal fragments to pass through the air bag and into the vehicle interior at high speed which may result in injury to vehicle occupants in the event of a deployment event.
Fix: On affected vehicles replace the inflator assembly.
UK DVSAAirbag circuit may be compromised
Risk: The driver' s airbag clockspring may ingest dust. This may cause the airbag warning light to illuminate. It may also affect the air bag operation in the event of a collision.
Fix: On affected vehicles replace the air bag clock spring steering wheel back cover and steering column shrouds.
UK DVSAElectronic stability control may become disabled
Risk: The Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) may experience electrical interference (static) in the SCCM printed circuit board communication circuit. This unintended electrical interference (static) can cause the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) to become disabled and the ESC warning lamp to illuminate. A loss of ESC function during certain driving conditions could cause a crash without warning.
Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and reprogramme the Steering Column Control Module.
UK DVSARisk of fire
Risk: The power side view mirrors may experience a loss of right and/or left heated power mirror function. This is due to corrosion caused water may travelling along the heated power mirror wiring harness and into the heated power mirror electrical connector(s). This corrosion inside the forms a resistive bridge between the power and ground electrical terminals and could cause a fire without warning.
Fix: On affected vehicles relocate the power feed electrical terminal for the heated power mirrors to a separate electrical connector and add a water shield.

My 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has an intermittent ABS system failure. The ABS, red BRAKE, and traction-control warning lights illuminate while driving. A diagnostic scan returned active code C2200, indicating an internal anti-lock brake module fault. The original ABS module is Mopar part number P04779788AF. I inspected and cleaned the electrical connector and checked the wheel-speed readings, which appeared normal. The C2200 code returned active after these checks. When this fault occurs, the ABS and traction-control systems may be disabled, potentially reducing braking stability and vehicle…

Counts are a starting point, not a verdict: popular models collect more complaints because more of them are on the road, and NHTSA does not verify individual reports. To see whether a recall is still open on your car, enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls (U.S.) or your registration at check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk (UK). Had a safety problem?
