Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport recalled in the UK or Europe?

UK DVSAAJ20-D6 Idler Pulley ClashD6 Idler Pulley Clash
Risk: A concern has been identified on certain AJ20-D6 engines where the Front End Auxiliary Drive (FEAD) belt idler pulley may over-rotate following a high torsion input and lead to a clash with and damage to the oil pressure and temperature sensor. A damaged oil pressure and temperature sensor can lead to an oil leak from the engine which can result in a slip hazard for following road users particularly two-wheeled vehicles.
Fix: Vehicles will have the Front-End Auxiliary Drive (FEAD) idler pulley replaced.
UK DVSARange Rover and Range Rover Sport Panoramic Roof Side Finisher Loose
Risk: The manufacturer has identified a concern on certain Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles where the adhesion process used to re-attach the panoramic roof side finishers during vehicle quality rework operations in the assembly plant may not have been sufficient. An inadequately adhered panoramic roof side finisher could over time come partially or completely loose. This could result in distraction to the driver or other road users or in the event of complete detachment harm to other road users particularly pedestrians or two-wheeled vehicles and increase the risk of injury or a crash.
Fix: Vehicles will have the panoramic roof side finisher removed and securely attached.
UK DVSARange Rover and Range Rover Sport Plug-in Hybrid Battery Capacity
Risk: The manufacturer has identified a concern on certain Range Rover and Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid vehicles where due to inadequate penetration of welding between the cells the battery’s capacity and therefore the vehicle’s electric range may be depleted below the design intent condition. A below-specification electric range will not meet the as-certified value for the vehicle and is therefore non-compliant to emissions legislation.
Fix: Vehicles will have the hybrid battery/modules replaced.
UK DVSAGear Shift Module Moisture Ingress
Risk: On Affected vehicles it is possible that moisture has entered the Gear Shift Module (GSM) during the assembly process. Under certain conditions there is a risk that this moisture could result in non-illumination of the Light Emitting Diode (LED) indicating the selected gear. Non-illumination of the LED gear indicator adjacent to the shifter would not conform to regulated requirements for automatic transmission control position indicator illumination.
Fix: Affected vehicles will have the Gear Shift Module replaced.
UK DVSARange Rover and Range Rover Sport Second Row Centre Seat Belt Buckle Cable Misaligned
Risk: On affected vehicles the second-row centre seat belt buckle may have been manufactured incorrectly. An internal obstruction to the seat belt tongue can prevent correct latching. In the event of a crash an insecurely latched seat belt buckle could increase the risk of personal injury.
Fix: Vehicles will have the centre seat belt buckle and buckle retaining bolt replaced.
EU Safety GateThe bolts intended for use with the retaining bracket are not correctly marked in accordance with the ISO standard. This could lead users to follow incorrect installation instructions, preventing the retaining bracket from functioning properly. As a result, the trailer could detach during use, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries.

2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport P400 Dynamic SE, VIN [XXX]. Leased new March 2025; 11,690 miles. The instrument cluster repeatedly displays "Please check engine coolant level" although the vehicle is not due for service. The cooling system is sealed and coolant should not be consumed or lost on a vehicle this new, indicating a leak or a defective level sensor. Land Rover has documented this exact symptom in manufacturer communications filed with NHTSA for the 2025 Range Rover Sport (July 2025: engine coolant leak, low coolant warning) and in a dealer bulletin for turbocharger coolant…
The contact owns a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 40 mph, the contact observed a loud grinding noise emanating from the engine compartment and a burning odor coming from the vents into the cabin. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that there was no oil in the transfer box and the transfer box needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that on several occasions while parked, the auto access height feature did not work as intended and failed to lower the vehicle. The vehicle was…
When using my parking assist feature for the first time the vehicle malfunctioned causing me to hit the car that I was trying to park in front of. The park assist took over when I engaged it but accelerated and hit the care without warning. I happened so quickly that I could not apply the brake until it was too late. There were 4 of us in the car at the time and were all shocked. Luckily no one was injured but it was definitely a possibility and there was damage to both vehicles. The police were called but did only did an information exchange form. I tried the feature the next day in an empty…
There are exhaust fumes in the Cabin. This has been going on since May of 2026. Multiple different repairs have been made. I still smell exhaust fumes on my clothing after driving the vehicle with the windows up and the air conditioning on. I do not know if there are air quality safety issues including carbon monoxide coming into the vehicle when in it.
The panoramic sunroof is cracked in several places impacting only the front half of the sunroof. There is not indication of a point of impact that would have caused the cracks. The vehicle is garage kept and has been driven minimally this summer. The were noticed on Saturday, July 18th when I opened the retractable interior roof. My safety is at risk because of the potential for the glass to fall from the roof while I'm driving. The panoramic sunroof has not been inspected by any one other than myself and my husband. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. There is no warning or…
FIRST ISSUE-THIS REPORT - LOSS OF POWER / ELECTRICAL FAULT (4/10/26) On April 10, 2026, I backed out of a parking space into a drive lane in a commercial parking lot. As the vehicle was rolling, it suddenly lost power. I attempted to restart the vehicle, but it would not start. The vehicle continued rolling backward into the intersection. Two warning messages appeared on the dashboard -"Stop Safely/Electrical Fault Detected" "Stop Safely – Loss of Drive".Photos attached. Because the vehicle could not be restarted or moved, it remained disabled in the intersection for approx two hours. The…
Rear seat in 2025 Range Rover Sport closed on my arm while returning to upright position, trapping me with no accessible manual release. Required assistance to be freed. Resulted in numbness and ongoing nerve/tendon pain. While parked in my driveway, I activated the electronic control to raise the left rear passenger seat from a folded position. As I reached in to remove an object (umbrella) to prevent obstruction, the seat closed on my right forearm and elbow, trapping my arm. I was unable to free myself. The seat would not move, and there was no accessible manual or emergency release within…
Back-up camera malfunctions periodically. They tried to fix it, but it is still happening. When I put it in reverse, it says "cameras not available." It creates a risk for me as I am used to parallel parking using it, or when I am coming out of my garage, among other places and times. It is unpredictable - sometimes it happens several times a day, then it doesn't happen for a few days. There must be a way to fix this for good. It has never happened with several other cars I used for a long time.
There are two primary complaints on the vehicle since it was lease on May 26, 2025. (1) Clunking metal on metal sound when the vehicle is in reverse as well as sharp right or left turn or general braking. The sound is most audible on the rear right side of the vehicle. This matter was reported > 3 times to the Freeport Landover Dealership; the last visit was in October 2025. During the visit the Techs claim not to hear any noise and the issue persists, even at time of this complaint. The vehicle has about 5,100 miles and has been in for service, since June11, 2025, July 2025, August 2025 and…
The lane assist system causes unintended steering intervention, actively pulling the vehicle toward hazards and off the roadway. The vehicle forcefully steers toward turning lanes, skid marks, and normal road markings, creating a serious safety risk. This behavior occurs at speed and is terrifying and dangerous. The same behavior occurred in a Range Rover loaner vehicle of a different model, indicating a systemic defect rather than an isolated issue. Due to safety concerns, I have been forced to disable lane assist to prevent loss of control. The issue has been presented to the dealer multiple…
The contact owns a 2025 Land Rover. The contact's stated that while the contact's husband was reversing, the back-over prevention camera system did not function as intended. The contact stated the image was not displayed, and the alert did not function as intended. The contact's husband crashed into a parked vehicle. The vehicle was unoccupied. The vehicle's front driver's door was damaged. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1500.
The vehicle headlight at the low beam has a shadow with a notch, causing a distraction during driving. The shadow distracts during driving and takes the attention off the driver, causing hazardous situations for the driver and others around the car. Diagnosed with the dealer and recommended filing a complaint with the manufacturer for design issues. I would like to report to NHTSA for awareness and safety issues - This is a serious issue and could cause collision due to poor design and driver distraction
