UK DVSADriver’s Airbag Potential Non-Deployment
Risk: A concern has been identified where the connector to the driver’s airbag at the clockspring may experience fretting corrosion over time. This can lead to an increased resistance in the driver’s airbag circuit potentially resulting in the airbag failing to deploy when requested to do so. An airbag which fails to deploy as-intended will increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Fix: Vehicles will have a protective lubricant gel applied to the driver’s airbag connector terminals.
UK DVSARange Rover and Range Rover Sport Panoramic Roof Side Finisher Loose
Risk: The manufacturer has identified a concern on certain Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles where the adhesion process used to re-attach the panoramic roof side finishers during vehicle quality rework operations in the assembly plant may not have been sufficient. An inadequately adhered panoramic roof side finisher could over time come partially or completely loose. This could result in distraction to the driver or other road users or in the event of complete detachment harm to other road users particularly pedestrians or two-wheeled vehicles and increase the risk of injury or a crash.
Fix: Vehicles will have the panoramic roof side finisher removed and securely attached.
UK DVSARange Rover and Range Rover Sport Plug-in Hybrid Battery Capacity
Risk: The manufacturer has identified a concern on certain Range Rover and Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid vehicles where due to inadequate penetration of welding between the cells the battery’s capacity and therefore the vehicle’s electric range may be depleted below the design intent condition. A below-specification electric range will not meet the as-certified value for the vehicle and is therefore non-compliant to emissions legislation.
Fix: Vehicles will have the hybrid battery/modules replaced.
UK DVSA2024 Model Year Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Loss of Drive

UK DVSAAJ20-D6 and AJ20-P6 Engine Oil Filter Housing CrackedD6 and AJ20-P6 Engine Oil Filter Housing Cracked
Risk: On affected vehicles the incorrect specification of plastic was used to manufacture the oil filter housing. This housing may over time and with vehicle use crack. This could result in oil under pressure leaking and coming into contact with hot components of the engine which may result in a fire. Additionally oil may leak onto the road surface posing a skid hazard.
Fix: Replace the oil filter housing complete with filter and associated O-rings.
UK DVSAAJ20-D6 Fuel Injector Clamp CrackedD6 Fuel Injector Clamp Cracked
Risk: A concern has been identified where the clamps used to secure the fuel injectors into the cylinder head on certain AJ20-D6 engines may crack allowing the injector to come loose. This loose injector could become unseated allowing fuel to be pushed past the injector seal from the combustion chamber or the fuel feed system.
Fix: A fuel leak in this area could result in fuel spill onto hot engine components which may result in a fire.
UK DVSASecurity Enhancement
Risk: For affected vehicles the manufacturer has developed a software enhancement to further increase vehicle security.
Fix: The software enhancement will deploy this update and reduce the theft risk.

On March 18, 2026, while I was driving, the engine overheated. The coolant warning was hidden behind another alert on the instrument display, so I had no usable warning before a near engine failure. I had to pull over and the vehicle was towed to the dealer, where a coolant leak was confirmed and repaired. This is a recurring coolant system defect. It first appeared in December 2023, seven months after I bought the vehicle new, and has been reported to the authorized dealer nine times: December 2023, February 2024, March 2024, May 2024 (towed in), October 2024, April 2025, March 2026 (towed in…
After coming to a complete stop at an intersection, I looked left-right-left before proceeding across the intersection. At the time I began to cross the intersection my vehicle seemingly did not accelerate as normal, causing my vehicle to be hit on the right driver side panel, spun around, and ripping the entire front end of my car off. Injuries were sustained and the vehicle may be a total loss.
The contact owns a 2023 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the lost motive power and inadvertently shifted to park (P). Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The transmission failed to shift out of park (P). The contact stated that the failure occurred twice. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer replaced the overlay PWM circuit. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.
**Vehicle Information:** 2023 Range Rover (purchased used on December 19, 2025 with approximately 21,000 miles) **Component/System Involved:** Rear braking system (rear brake pads and rotors). The vehicle has experienced repeated premature wear of the rear brakes. The component is available for inspection upon request. **Description of the Failure/Malfunction:** At approximately 25,000 miles, I was informed by the servicing dealership, Land Rover Austin, that the rear brakes required replacement. At that time, I had only driven the vehicle approximately 3,355 miles since purchase. I…
Vehicle went into a shut down and all electrical power was dead. Attempted to charge battery and battery had 13.2 amps. Towed to dealer and they reported a software update was required. Also they later reported the battery was changed. Upon pick up, the dash reported warnings of no steering assist, no traction control and software update required. Vehicle has been back 4 times and dealer cannot resolve warning lights after two months. They have indicated it is the driver safety camera not being properly calibrated after multiple attempts and replacement of the windsheild. Vehicle continues to…
On January 27, 2026, while driving my 2023 Land Rover Range Rover a red warning light came on the dashboard stating "Electric default detected". The vehicle does not go into gear in timely way..I put car in reverse and occasionally it stays in drive. Very dangerous to assume your car is backing up but goes forward. It happened to my son also when driving my car. Seems like there is lag time between shifting gears and vehicle actually going into gear. I just spoke to three other owners of my make, year and model of car and they said they have had same issues.
We purchased the vehicle new January 2023 and we drove for a couple of months without any issue, suddenly after filling the gas tank on Monday 4/10/2023 we noticed that the gas gauge dropped significantly after about an hour of drive time, later that evening the garage began smelling like gas through out the night without any leaks. The next day taking kids to school the smell was very bad in the car that we were all light headed during the 30 minutes drive time and had to pull over to inspect the vehicle for fuel leaks and could not observe any leaks. We rolled the windows down in cold…

Counts are a starting point, not a verdict: popular models collect more complaints because more of them are on the road, and NHTSA does not verify individual reports. To see whether a recall is still open on your car, enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls (U.S.) or your registration at check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk (UK). Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA; complaints are what trigger investigations and recalls.
