Has the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover been recalled?
NHTSA lists no safety recalls for the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover as of October 25, 2026. Recalls can be issued at any time, so check your VIN before you rely on this.
Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover recalled in the UK or Europe?

UK DVSAAJ20-D6 Idler Pulley ClashD6 Idler Pulley Clash
Risk: A concern has been identified on certain AJ20-D6 engines where the Front End Auxiliary Drive (FEAD) belt idler pulley may over-rotate following a high torsion input and lead to a clash with and damage to the oil pressure and temperature sensor. A damaged oil pressure and temperature sensor can lead to an oil leak from the engine which can result in a slip hazard for following road users particularly two-wheeled vehicles.
Fix: Vehicles will have the Front-End Auxiliary Drive (FEAD) idler pulley replaced.
UK DVSADriver’s Airbag Potential Non-Deployment
Risk: A concern has been identified where the connector to the driver’s airbag at the clockspring may experience fretting corrosion over time. This can lead to an increased resistance in the driver’s airbag circuit potentially resulting in the airbag failing to deploy when requested to do so. An airbag which fails to deploy as-intended will increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Fix: Vehicles will have a protective lubricant gel applied to the driver’s airbag connector terminals.
UK DVSARange Rover and Range Rover Sport Panoramic Roof Side Finisher Loose
Risk: The manufacturer has identified a concern on certain Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles where the adhesion process used to re-attach the panoramic roof side finishers during vehicle quality rework operations in the assembly plant may not have been sufficient. An inadequately adhered panoramic roof side finisher could over time come partially or completely loose. This could result in distraction to the driver or other road users or in the event of complete detachment harm to other road users particularly pedestrians or two-wheeled vehicles and increase the risk of injury or a crash.
Fix: Vehicles will have the panoramic roof side finisher removed and securely attached.
UK DVSARange Rover and Range Rover Sport Plug-in Hybrid Battery Capacity
Risk: The manufacturer has identified a concern on certain Range Rover and Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid vehicles where due to inadequate penetration of welding between the cells the battery’s capacity and therefore the vehicle’s electric range may be depleted below the design intent condition. A below-specification electric range will not meet the as-certified value for the vehicle and is therefore non-compliant to emissions legislation.
Fix: Vehicles will have the hybrid battery/modules replaced.
UK DVSAGear Shift Module Moisture Ingress
Risk: On Affected vehicles it is possible that moisture has entered the Gear Shift Module (GSM) during the assembly process. Under certain conditions there is a risk that this moisture could result in non-illumination of the Light Emitting Diode (LED) indicating the selected gear. Non-illumination of the LED gear indicator adjacent to the shifter would not conform to regulated requirements for automatic transmission control position indicator illumination.
Fix: Affected vehicles will have the Gear Shift Module replaced.
UK DVSARange Rover and Range Rover Sport Second Row Centre Seat Belt Buckle Cable Misaligned
Risk: On affected vehicles the second-row centre seat belt buckle may have been manufactured incorrectly. An internal obstruction to the seat belt tongue can prevent correct latching. In the event of a crash an insecurely latched seat belt buckle could increase the risk of personal injury.
Fix: Vehicles will have the centre seat belt buckle and buckle retaining bolt replaced.
UK DVSA48V Harness Clash with Cross Brace
Risk: On affected vehicles the 48V cable could become too close to an underbody cross-brace and rub against the metal cross-brace exposing the cable core resulting in a short circuit and risk of fire.
Fix: Inspect harness and as needed reposition the routing bracket as necessary.

The second-row power seat latching and folding mechanism on a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover repeatedly malfunctions, fails to lock in place, and unlatches while driving. An active dashboard warning displays: "Do not use rear left and centre seats until latched." On multiple occasions, the seat mechanism has lifted up unexpectedly, nearly crushing the legs of a child seated in the second row. Because child car seats are installed in the second row, the failure of the seat frame to latch creates a serious risk of occupant injury or ejection in a sudden stop or collision. The vehicle has been…
While getting in the back seat, the buttons for the 2nd row seats to fold forward for the third row access are easily activated unknowingly, trapping people in between the 1st and 2nd row of seats. This has happened 3 times to 3 different people in my vehicle.
At 613 miles, this 2025 Land Rover Range Rover SE experienced simultaneous brake fluid loss from the rear right wheel area, partial loss of engine power, and multiple warning lights including “Stability Control Not Available” and “Restricted Performance.” The vehicle required emergency flatbed towing. DFW Land Rover Dealer inspection identified damage at two points on the brake line near the rear right wheel. The damage shows longitudinal abrasion scoring along the line consistent with chafing against a vehicle component during normal operation, not external impact. The underbody shield in the…
On the morning of [XXX] my wife was driving her 2025 Range Rover a short distance when an electrical fault came on the dash reading "stop safely Electrical fault detected". Upon turning into our driveway right after that warning came up, a variety of other warnings came on the dash including a transmission overheat warning. The car then started losing electrical functions and as she pulled into the garage. The vehicle was half way in the garage, my wife pressed the park button and tried to exit the vehicle. She was not aware that the park function no longer worked and that the car had…

While traveling from Los Angeles, California to Tucson, Arizona with one passenger, the vehicle experienced a sudden and dangerous loss of multiple critical systems while driving at highway speed. Earlier during the trip the vehicle stopped in Quartzsite, Arizona. When attempting to re-enter the vehicle, the key initially did not unlock the vehicle. The driver contacted Range Rover roadside assistance and asked for guidance, but no explanation or solution was provided. After several attempts the vehicle eventually unlocked and started. Approximately one hour later, while driving eastbound on…
This is a plug-in hybrid vehicle. Twice now the car has powered on but would not go into gear or move. Selecting drive did nothing and pressing the accelerator had no effect, leaving the vehicle completely immobile. In both instances I was left stranded and had to have the vehicle towed (once on 10/10/25 and again on 11/11/25). This did not happen while driving in traffic, but it created a safety concern because the car was unable to move when it should have. The issue has not been explained or resolved through service.
While driving on the highway, a strong burning smell began inside the vehicle, similar to a brush or forest fire. At first it was unclear whether the smell was coming from outside, but when traffic slowed, smoke was seen coming from the driver-side wheel well and from under the front hood. No warning lights, alerts, temperature warnings, or malfunction messages appeared before or during the smoke. The vehicle was moved off the highway to a side road. Upon opening the hood, light but steady smoke continued from the engine area. The coolant reservoir was full and there were no visible leaks. The…
The contact owns a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle shut off independently and drove in Hybrid Mode and switched back to Electrical Battery Mode. Several warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the electrical battery converter needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the failure had occurred approximately eight times. The vehicle was repaired for the same failure over nine times. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, opened a case, offered an extended…
windshield, I cracked my 3rd windshield in 18 months and approx 7 windshields in 10 years. I replace this vehicle annually with the identical make and model range rover. The smallest stone chips the windshield and the chip turns into long cracks across the windshield within hours to a couple of days. I have alerted Land Rover to this.
Unsatisfactory Review for 2025 Range Rover SE I purchased a 2025 Range Rover SE in November 2024 for nearly $200,000, expecting a luxury vehicle with reliability to match its price tag. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. In December 2024, just one month after purchase, the vehicle completely died while I was driving on the highway—a terrifying and unacceptable failure for a brand-new car. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, where it has remained ever since. What has made this experience even worse is Range Rover’s appalling customer service. The company’s…
