Strong fuel smell in rear of vehicle, Upon further inspection, it was discovered that a hard fuel line connection was leaking from a fitting on top of a very hot engine and very close to a very hot manifold. Leak was very pronounced and there was strong evidence that this leak and been dropping for some time. (staining of engine) Vehicle was brought in to dealer service for in fact confirmation of leak. There were no warning lights or CEL's whatsoever. Only a strong fuel smell in rear of vehicle. My felling is this could have been a disaster for anyone operating the vehicle or a passenger, had…
A faulty fuel line above the engine needed to be replaced. The fuel line leaked enough to pool on top of the engine. I took the car to Porsche Irvine, they fixed it under warranty and mentioned that this was not unusual and they have seen this before in MY2022 Porsche 911 cars
Metallic Fuel line located on top of the engine suddenly started leaking. Previous time I drove the car there was no indication of a gasoline leak or odor. There were no warnings or indications of an impending leak until gasoline was emitted from the line. Fortunately when the leak started I was only driving locally and upon returning to my house a raw gasoline odor was apparent at the back of the car. Had I been driving up to Monterey which is a 6 hr. drive I’ve done several times before a gasoline leak over the engine would of likely caused a fire that would have been extremely hazardous…
String gas odor while driving. Upon inspection it was determined that a fuel line was leaking on top of the engine which requires an engine out repair. There are several other people discussing the same issue of Rennlist.com a Porsche enthusiast site. Seems to be a problem.
Rear Tailight internal stress cracks causing condensation moisture and dust buildup. Dealer says this is normal, vehicle is only 2 years old, 20k miles and under warranty. Seems like there is a seal issue with the moisture and dust due to the internal cracks of the taillights. I've read on Rennlist and seen on YouTube that this is occurring for others as well that own 992 911's. The taillights were inspected by two dealers, one said it was normal but did not mention cracks, another dealer confirmed it was due to "stress cracks" inside the taillights but that this is normal. The manufacturer…
Massive fuel leak. Appears to be fairly common amongst other owners. Required engine out to repair.
A leak in a high pressure fuel line was releasing gas on top of the motor. I smelled gas, and had vehicle towed to the dealership where I purchased the car. The dealership has confirmed the cause of the fuel leak and ordered the replacement fuel line. Since it’s a leak in this fuel line, NO check engine lights or other warnings flagged the problem. In my opinion, this is a significant safety problem that could lead to a fire and potential injury.
The cameras for the surround view incl backup and front and side cameras intermittent stop working, sometimes no camera is working, sometimes one or more are working randomly. Contacted Porsche NorthAmerica and even the topic is all over the Internet forums already Porsche denied that there is an issue. Talked to Porsche Dealership and they also denied that there is an issue. The backup camera and surround view on my car is not working, sometimes several days in a row, sometimes just for one drive, sometimes partly. I report this because I believe that the backup camera and surround view is a…
On September 23, 2023, in the late afternoon, the control arm of my Porsche 911 (front driver side) snapped while making a routine stop at a stop sign in a residential neighborhood, driving at approximately 25mph. There was smoke that came from the front driver side wheel as the control arm had snapped and that wheel was being dragged. No warning lamps or error messages were displayed on my vehicle dashboard prior to this malfunction. I gave direction to the dealership for a thorough review of the damage. The shop repairmen indicated that the control arm had snapped along with other components…
I have a nearly brand new 2022 Porsche 911 GTS with around 3000 miles on it. Around 3am on 4/16/23, I was driving on highway and experienced serious engine failure. Put me and other drivers driving on the highway in a life threatening situation. I or anyone who is driving could be killed while my car stopped on highway and later on a local road. It gave me insomia, paranoidism, trauma etc. In details, when the engine first failed, the speed was decreasing, I stepped on gas but there is no response from the car, the speed still decelerated until I made my way to the shoulder of highway. It…
