UK DVSAASA7 Recall Campaign / Stop Delivery – Check screw connection for airbag in front seats and rework if necessary
Risk: On the affected vehicles it is possible that during the production process the airbags in the front seats were not fastened to the seat backrest in accordance with specifications. If this is the case proper deployment and thus the retention effect of the airbag cannot be ensured in the event of an accident. This can increase the risk of injury to the occupants.
Fix: The screw connection of the airbags in the front seats of the affected vehicles must be checked and reworked depending on the test result.

Risk: During regular conformity of production tests by the supplier a deviation at a component of the passenger’s airbag unit has been identified. The dashboard has a clear outline of the passenger side airbag and the seam is ripping which is the structural/interior area. I took it to Porsche on June 24, 2026 and they are replacing the dashboard as of today August 17, 2026 they are telling me the dashboard will be here September 28, 2026. They are also claiming this isn't a safety issue. When it clearly is. This appears to the same issue as the 2022–2023 Porsche 911 dashboard/airbag recall (NHTSA campaign ANB7) involving the exact same core issue: the adhesive bonding between the leather dashboard cover and the passenger airbag…
I drive a leased 2024 Porsche Macan that has been serviced exclusively by Porsche of [XXX]. In May 2026, I brought the vehicle in because the engine was revving/racing while I was driving locally at slow to normal speeds. I also reported that the vehicle initiated sudden collision-avoidance braking when no vehicles or obstacles were present. I was told no problem could be found or replicated. On the morning of XXX while driving about 25–30 mph, the engine again began revving loudly and continued even while I was stopped at a traffic light. This was the same issue I had reported in May. At the…
While driving on a major highway ([XXX]) at over 60 MPH, we had a complete and catastrophic system wide shut down of our vehicle, culminating in our car grinding to a halt. This entire process elapsed over a 15-20 second period. We barely were able to get our vehicle to the "left" shoulder along the median of the highway where we had to sit for over 75 minutes with oncoming traffic racing past us until 911 arrived to tow us. It was a life-threatening situation where we were virtual "sitting ducks" without any means to remove ourselves from harms way. The car was immovable and unresponsive. We…
Steering Gear. It has been replaced and is not available to inspect. I was unable to turn the steering wheel and had an auto accident as a result. The dealer inspected the vehicle and replaced the steering gear under warranty. It is probable that the defective gear was sent by the dealer to the manufacturer to inspect. The warning lamps activated after the accident.
Collion Warning alarm came on with full application of brakes with no vehicles in front or behind. No onward traffic either. Visibility was clear, and driving conditions good. Driving at 35-40 mph. Informed dealer three times (and three different individuals) on December 31 and despite a bevy of promises they have taken no action. Placed warning on Macan.com and several other (purported) owners claimed to have experienced an identical issue. This is self-evidently highly dangerous. Lack of responsivess from Porsche dealer [XXX] ) has also been derisable. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE…
The car has a burning rubber order when driven intermittently, with smoke coming from the vents. This has been evaluated by Porsche Silver Spring 3 times June, October, November of 2025. June dealer unable to reproduce, October they reproduced it and replaced a heater. The problem has persisted but in November and December they dealer has been unable to reproduce on their test drive.
I was driving home in my 2024 Porsche Macan 4 EV, at about 65 miles per hour on a divided highway. I had my climate control set to 75 degrees on both the driver and passenger side of the vehicle. I believe that the air conditioning was set to off. I also had the drivers seat heated at the max setting. I was alone in my vehicle. It was the first time since I owned my Macan that I had set the heat to that temperature. Approximately 10 minutes into my drive on the highway, I started smelling an acrid smell. I assumed that the smell was coming from outside of my vehicle. I could smell the acrid…
The contact owns a 2024 Porsche Macan GTS. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with the Adaptive Cruise Control activated without other vehicles or objects nearby, the Forward Collision Avoidance system activated. Within seconds, the Forward Collision Avoidance: Automatic Emergency Braking briefly applied the brakes, jolting the vehicle slightly but not bringing it to a complete stop. Afterward, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The Forward Collision Avoidance warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken…
My car has intermittently triggered false collision warnings—approximately 8 to 10 times over ~8,500 miles. Each time, while driving between 20–40 mph with no visible obstacles, the system issued an orange collision alert, sounded an alarm, and abruptly applied the brakes. This sudden braking poses a serious safety risk, as it could cause a rear-end collision. The vehicle has been at the dealer for 14 days and remains there, as they’ve been unable to replicate the issue or find any stored fault codes.
I was driving at 40mph on a town road on a dry, sunny day when, without warning, the brakes slammed on extremely forcefully, almost to a full stop, and a big triangle showed on the dashboard with the words COLLISION WARNING. I don’t recall if there was an audible alarm or not. The warning disappeared and the car resumed forward motion almost as quickly as it had appeared. My body jolted forward against my seat belt and items on the passenger seat went flying forward and fell on the floor. There were no other cars on the road at the time but, if there had been anyone in back of me, it very well…
The car's power brake system stopped working. We did not incur an accident just because we found a side road before the upcoming traffic light; otherwise, it would have been a disaster. This car also had other software issues, but it was not as alarming. We believe driving is unsafe. The manufacturer is offering a payment to get back that car and drive it. Still, unless the competent authorities take responsibility for checking that the Porsche Macan EV is safe to drive, our family will not be Porsche's guinea pig. We did not get into an accident just for pure luck, but what will happen if the…
