Vehicle is affected by FCA recall 93C / NHTSA recall 25V-586 for Fuel Delivery Module / fuel pump failure that can cause fuel starvation and unexpected loss of motive power. NHTSA recall lookup shows the recall is incomplete and the remedy is not yet available. The vehicle is already symptomatic. It has active DTC P008A / low-pressure fuel system pressure too low, check engine light, and Start/Stop unavailable. It also has drivability symptoms: inconsistent acceleration, hesitation/poor response, and sometimes failing to restart after stopping in traffic, such as at traffic lights. This creates a risk of the vehicle being disabled in traffic or losing motive power without adequate warning…
My 2019 Ford Mustang equipped with the 2.3L EcoBoost engine developed a check-engine light, rough startups, engine misfires/rough running, and some engine knocking. The vehicle had approximately 87,453 miles. I took the vehicle to an authorized Ford dealership for diagnosis. The dealer brought the engine to operating temperature, pressurized the cooling system to 21 PSI, removed the ignition coils and spark plugs, and inspected the cylinders with a borescope. The dealer documented coolant intrusion into cylinder #2 due to a failed cylinder head and recommended replacement of the complete long-block engine due to the extent of the damage. The dealer also documented diagnostic trouble codes…
I was driving and the car gave an error showing service throttle position. Car went into limp mode. I pulled over out of traffic. Car drove but very slow. I tried to drive back home but the car died while I was in the turning lane. It would not start again. I used my autel scanner and received codes, p01ca, p008a, p00c6, p0300, p0303, p0302. I believe it is the fuel pump and fuel pump module causing the car issues. I believe it is the 93c recall for this car. It would have been very unsafe if I was driving on the highway and this happen. The car is currently at Champion Alfa dealership. I’m waiting for the service department to get back to me. I hope the dealership or Alfa Romeo will cover…
Good afternoon, 1.5 weeks ago, we had 4 serious issues that our Ford F250 Truck from 2017 with 55.000 miles on stalled during driving almost causing an accident because the steering system was not supporting anymore. We stopped the vehicle on the side of the road, yellow engine light came on with the fault message “All sensor” (attached). After several times cycling the ignition the Diesel engine started up with the yellow engine light on. This happened 4x. Luckily, we made it home. The next day the truck did not show any ignition neither did the engine start. I checked the battery power which was 12.8V and found a loose minus bar connection beside the positive bar beside the battery…

If normal diagnosis leads to a biased or failed Fuel Low Pressure (FLP) sensor, the sensor is available without the need to order the entire fuel line assembly. The FLP sensor, located on the fuel supply line to the high pressure pump, provides the low side fuel pressure input to the PCM so the Fuel Driver Module can…
Vehicle has roughly 64,000 miles on it. As we were actively driving, vehicle suddenly lost power and completely shut off. This was a sudden stall. Vehicle would not crank back up but starter would engage. Upon scanning the trouble codes, multiple codes came up in regard to the fuel pump issue that is currently under investigation. (P008A, P00C6, P0304) This issue poses a serious risk as while actively driving, could cause an accident and should be an active recall for this year make and model.

P008A: questions drivers ask
What does code P008A mean?
P008A is a manufacturer-specific powertrain code (engine, transmission, fuel and emissions), so its exact definition depends on the carmaker and is not in the generic OBD-II list. 25 owners reported it to NHTSA, most often for the Alfa Romeo Giulia (12), Ford Mustang (3), Alfa Romeo Stelvio (2); their reports describe what happened.
Which cars get code P008A most often?
In NHTSA owner complaints, P008A is mentioned most for the Alfa Romeo Giulia (12), Ford Mustang (3), Alfa Romeo Stelvio (2), across 10 models and model years 2012 to 2022. Popular models collect more reports because more of them are on the road.
Is there a recall for code P008A?
No NHTSA recall text names P008A directly. 4 recalls on the cars that report this code concern the same component owners name most (Fuel/Propulsion System); they may or may not relate to the code. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
What should I do if my car shows P008A?
Write down when the code appeared and what the car did (warning lights, loss of power, noises, speed, weather). Check your VIN for open recalls at nhtsa.gov/recalls, ask a dealer or independent workshop to read the stored freeze-frame data before anyone clears the code, and keep the repair order. If the car loses power in traffic, stop driving it. CarHooq does not diagnose: these are owner reports and official recall notices, not repair advice.
How this page was made
CarHooq read the text of every owner complaint filed with NHTSA for 19 US and European brands (model years 2012 onwards) and picked out the diagnostic trouble codes owners wrote down. This page lists every mention of P008A (including sub-code forms such as P008A00). Manufacturer codes have no public standard definition, so CarHooq shows only what owners reported. Nothing here is a diagnosis. Data: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation (public domain), retrieved November 3, 2026. How CarHooq reports are made.
