I have a vehicle whose refrigeration is going into the motor. It started with the check engine light came on notifying the third spark plug was damaged and showed the codes P0303, P04DB, P0316, P0339. Later a warning sign came on the dashboard with the phrase "ENGINE MALFUNCTION, SERVICE NOW". It had a recall almost immediately after it was acquired and was seen by the manufacturer about two years.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford EcoSport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. In addition, the engine overheated and seized. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be completely cleaned out and detailed prior to being serviced. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with several failures, and DTC: P0217, P0496, P04DB, P1825 and P1299 were retrieved. Additionally, the contact stated the engine had been replaced by the dealer in February 2023; however, the contact was informed that the warranty had since expired. The…
Vehicle: 2017 Ford Edge Titanium, 2.0L EcoBoost, AWD Mileage at Incident: ~90,000 (mountain 2 lane canyon road steep cliffs and very little pull off space) Description of Problem: While driving uphill on a 2-lane mountain road, my vehicle displayed “Engine Coolant Over Temperature” (and related engine heat) warnings. The temperature gauge rose rapidly, engine power was severely limited (could not exceed ~40 mph even with full throttle), and pink coolant fluid was visibly boiling and gushing from the reservoir/overflow tank. I immediately pulled over safely. After cooling for 2–3 hours, the vehicle restarted and completed the climb with lighter driving, but the incident was dangerous due to…
My 2019 Ford Escape Eco Boost Titanium vehicle is currently loosing antifreeze at an alarming rate. I had the error codes read and I have four. The first, P0303, states cylinder #3 is misfiring. The second, P0141, says the heater in 02 sensor is taking too long to warm up. The third, P0016, states the camshaft position A correlates to bank 1 and finally, P04DB, says the crankcase ventilation system in the vehicle is disconnected. From what I have read online the system that is failing is that there is an engine coolant leak. I am fine providing the car for inspection upon request. The safety of myself and my family is at risk because should I not keep the coolant filled and full Ford states…

The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the road and restart the vehicle; however, the failure persisted.
