Truck has had multiple issues related to the electrical system and truck modules. It is my opinion that these are all related to voltage issues or module problems. i have had multiple infotainment issues with delays loading, freezing up etc. dealer has ran updates and checks with nothing found. In October around $35k miles the truck Radio would not work if i used the push button start. if i shut the truck off opened the door and let everything reset i could push the start button in the truck and the radio would work majority of the time. The next day i went out to a completely dead truck. I talked to my service department at the local dealer and they said i would need to bring it in but…

Was driving and my vehicle came up and said I had an issue with the electrical power steering assist system and was going to shut off. I was waiting at a red light the vehicle put itself in park and shut down. I restarted the vehicle and it would not move out of park or any of the windows or radio controls would function. I upon restarting four more times was able to get it back into drive and return home. The steering functioned fine but the radio, back up camera, aux power port, and windows still do not work. Once I returned home this seems to be a reoccuring problem on the Gladiator and Jeep Wrangler platforms. Seems these vehicle throw either one of two codes which I am not sure which…

The vehicle has failed three times in approximately 30 days. First failure, June 26, 2026: the vehicle would not start. Numerous fault codes were stored across multiple modules, including P0562 (system voltage low). The odometer display was flashing, indicating a module had dropped off the communication bus. Second failure, July 13, 2026: less than 48 hours after returning from a road trip and parking, the same condition recurred. The vehicle required external 12-volt power to start. P0562: questions drivers ask

What does code P0562 mean?

P0562 is a generic OBD-II powertrain code. Its standard definition is "System Voltage Low". The code tells you which system set the fault, not which part failed; the owner reports on this page show what it meant in practice for 11 car models.

Which cars get code P0562 most often?

In NHTSA owner complaints, P0562 is mentioned most for the Dodge Journey (2), Jeep Wagoneer (2), Chevrolet Trailblazer (1), across 11 models and model years 2014 to 2023. Popular models collect more reports because more of them are on the road.

Is there a recall for code P0562?

No NHTSA recall text names P0562 directly. 8 recalls on the cars that report this code concern the same component owners name most (Electrical System); they may or may not relate to the code. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

What should I do if my car shows P0562?

Write down when the code appeared and what the car did (warning lights, loss of power, noises, speed, weather). Check your VIN for open recalls at nhtsa.gov/recalls, ask a dealer or independent workshop to read the stored freeze-frame data before anyone clears the code, and keep the repair order. If the car loses power in traffic, stop driving it. CarHooq does not diagnose: these are owner reports and official recall notices, not repair advice.

How this page was made

CarHooq read the text of every owner complaint filed with NHTSA for 19 US and European brands (model years 2012 onwards) and picked out the diagnostic trouble codes owners wrote down. This page lists every mention of P0562. The definition is the generic SAE J2012 wording; a carmaker may use the code slightly differently. Nothing here is a diagnosis. Data: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation (public domain), retrieved November 3, 2026. How CarHooq reports are made.
