Ford mailed me a XXX Customer Satisfaction Program 26N04 letter for my 2016 F-150, VIN [XXX]. That letter offered a one-time, no-charge replacement of the transmission molded lead frame if the dealer determined replacement was needed, and it described a malfunction indicator lamp and/or wrench light when that part fails. My truck did exactly that. It stored P0715 and P0717, went into limp mode, and the wrench came on. Titus-Will Ford in Tacoma confirmed the turbine speed sensor is part of the lead frame and replaced it (part AL3Z-7G276-D). They denied 26N04 because those codes are not P0705, P0706, P0707, or P1702 — a code list the customer letter never disclosed. The failed part is the part…

My 2017 Ford Expedition is currently at an authorized dealership (Arlington Heights Ford, IL) for a failed transmission lead frame (DTCs P0706, P0707, P1702), which causes intermittent loss of gear engagement and sudden shift issues. This specific part is subject to NHTSA Engineering Analysis EA26001. Ford is refusing to honor the 10-year/150000-mile extended coverage (Program 19N01 Supplement 4) and a separate safety recall (25S37 for Brake master Cylinder) because the Vehicle was originally manufactured for Canadian market. Despite the Vehicle being in a U.S. facility, Ford claims a 'system limitation' prevents them from bridging the VIN for these safety repairs. This is a formal refusal…

Truck downshifts into low gear, yellow wrench and engine light come on and the truck goes into limp mode, no warnings or anything. These symptoms first started about 5 months ago and I have stopped driving the truck for that time. I took it to the dealer after looking it up and seeing there was a recall 26S28 for the molded leadframe. At the dealer they told me they couldn't perform the service because my truck was showing codes: P061A-00, P0720-00, and P0722-00 and they needed: P0705, P0706, P0707, P1702 to perform the recall service. My codes also point to the molded leadframe but the speed sensors instead of the range sensors.

Truck began downshifting from 6th gear to 5th numerous times at highway speeds (60ish mph). Wrench warning light would randomly come on, Service Engine Soon light would intermittently come on, followed by the dashboard totally blanking out. In one day on a drive to work, it started shifting from 6th to 4th. On the way home the same day, it shifted violently from 6th to 2nd gear hard at highway speed. The occurrence was a big safety concern as it was raining out - almost skidded out of control. As the truck was being driven into the dealership, there was NO acceleration - just revving of the engine which could have caused a major accident while having to cross two lanes of oncoming traffic…

Very harsh down shifting, one incident happened at about 40mph but was already slowing down for a light so nothing catastrophic happened but if I was traveling at a higher speed a crash would’ve more than likely happened, and eventually threw codes: P0706, P0707, P1702, P1921 which is for the molded lead frame inside the transmission. Codes were pulled myself with my own devices and according to research all code descriptions are things that are faulty on the molded lead frame assembly

Wednesday. 22 March 2023: While driving on the Hwy 83 By-Pass accelerating up an incline, the F150 shifted from 6th gear to 3rd gear. It did not downshift to 5th or 4th. It went directly from 6th to 3rd gear. When it did this the truck went from 55 mph to skidding the rear tires (almost a complete stop) before the truck moved forward in 3rd gear. During this immediate deceleration instance, (where my sternum bounced off the seat belt) the "dummy light" Wrench icon appeared as well as prompts on the dashboard indicating there were faults with Blind Spot System and Cross Traffic System. I pulled over to the side of the road and shut the vehicle off. Due to the immediate deceleration and loss…
